Thanks for your help, buddy! I tried different things, none of them worked. Then, I watched your video, and I found the greatest solution for this problem, thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I was uncertain I would find this video but had my hope up and you delivered. Now I know better.
Thank you so much! This has been bugging me since I got it. I had the old one and I was like “my old one did this what the heck!” Thank you!
Hey thanks alot man! Just had this happen today. I did what you said and it worked. Thanks again from California!
Hi Brian my Tucson plugin is on order but what i can't find out is does it come with both sets of charging cable Type 2 and a wall 13amp charger thanks
In Ireland it only comes with 13 amp charger, you can purchase the type two cable as an accessory🙂
Thanks for the info, this was very helpful. I'm over 6 Ft tall and my Tucson PHEV liftgate does not seems to open all he way up when using the power lift gate (even I set the mode to "Full Open" in the settings. Once opened, I can push the liftgate up manually a bit more to clear my head, but after I pushed it all the way up, it won't close using the power motor anymore, it just beeps. Is there a way to have it open all the way up for a 6 Ft tall person and to close on its own afterwards ?
Unfortunately once you have made the change in the settings there is no other way of doing it, there is a small bit of movement afterwards to allow flex but not to facilitate the taller individual unfortunately!!
Thanks for watching!
I have a 2022 Tucson. I lock the doors but the back door still opens. I don't have the auto opening button. How do I get the back door to lock!
Do you mean the boot door Randy ?? Or the passenger back door ?? If you have keyless entry the boot door will open when you try to open it when the key is your pocket because it’s keyless … try opening it without the key in your pocket !!
If it’s the 2 rear doors Then it Sounds like you have a mechanical fault Randy 😞 you need to get it into the dealer so they can view it and rectify !! 🙂🙂🙂
Great video, thank you so much. But I was hoping to find a way to bypass having to hold the button for the whole duration to close the liftgate. My 2020 Tucson allowed me to press the key fob for a few seconds, one time and it would close all the way. Without having to hold it for the full duration.
I was hoping there might have been some setting I could select in the car to change this.
Anyone know?
I don’t think there will be a bypass for this as it doesn’t have any anti-pinch mechanism,
I would imagine with increased safety regulations. The driver must control the closing just in case somebody was to put a body part in the way.
I can’t be 100% sure for the reason, but I’m not aware of a bypass
You would think they’d be some sort of sensor built in, I have a GMC Acadia with the automatic liftgate, and if I were to get my hand or foot, or any object like a school bag squeeze under the door, it will automatically open back up.
I guess it’s worth testing it with some object just to see if it has the same safety features in the Tucson.
Thanks for your reply!
The clue is in the button (Hold), I have got it used it on my Tucson Ultimate PHEV + Tech Pack.
I know what you mean but the hold button is written on every Tucson!! Even the ones without the power tailgate !! Usually hold means keep it pressed to unlock 🙂🙂
I bought a used 2019 Tucson. My remote has the tailgate button on it, my lights flash, but the tailgate does not open, nor close with the remote.
Hi Dave .. on the 19 model the button only unlocks the boot ! So it’s sounds correct .. it shouldn’t open on that model 🙂✅
Yes it will you have to unlock all the doors and unlock on remote by holding button same time lifting manually truly a pain! It’s in the manual too!
It was raining and wanted to open the tailgate to put some staffs, but no luck.
Now I will not look like a stupid.
I don’t understand why good oul manual Liftback tail gates are hard to come by anymore, fair enough the motorized ones are cool but I think they are a bit of a nuisance at times especially when ur doing the shopping etc
Pros and cons on these I guess .. to be fair they are still pretty seldom in our brands 🙂🙂
@@doolanbrian that’s true ye it’s more of the premium brands like BMW Mercedes etc have those, me being oldschool once again 🤣
Thanks Brian. Can you let me know what model of the Tucson has the powered tailgate and also if powered seats are available?
@@daveb1433 ok so Tucson is available in PHEV and HEV with power tailgate but only on executive plus specification 🙂🙂 we don’t have a power seat option ☹️
I thought I was coming to find a way to OPEN the hatch. THis is more about closing. I push the button on the key fob for a very long time, not just 20 seconds or so. Doesn't open. There is no apparent button like in the video in the cabin. It's a rental car so, of course, there is no car manual. The Key fob works perfectly for all the other functions. It's not a fob problem.
Sorry, the title is misleading. This video will help !! th-cam.com/users/shortsmg4b9jdFjww?si=AkWKEOMGygHclO1z
Nah. Only for your ride. My flashers come on when i hit mine it wont open
@@doolanbrian 2017 Tuscon honestly I'm wondering if I even have it lol. It's on my key fob so I assumed I did
@@brandonvandine1695 this video will explain all th-cam.com/users/shortsmg4b9jdFjww?feature=share
@@doolanbrian may be the dumbest thing I've ever seen? Why wouldn't I just unlock the whole car. It's a stupid feature that's worthless 😂
👍
Extremely important video. I thought I broke it after 2 days. Thank you.
Me too. Thanks for watching!
