This is a very good instructional effort, with great clarity, wide vocabulary and well-structured positional analysis. I really enjoyed it and to me this makes Irina Krush one of the best presenters around at the moment. Thank you!
Amazing positional analysis. Exactly what an intermediate or advanced player needs to take their game next level. Kudos for bringing us these educational nuggets.
So after discovering your channel I finally caught up watching all your videos. I'm very impressed with your clear and logical explanations of concepts. It's very rare to find chess videos of this quality focused on long term strategic considerations. In this video I would have traded the dark squared bishop almost instantly because of the dark squared pawn on d4, at least I'm glad to see that you later acknowledge that fact so I'm not completely an idiot. But I did not realise how much the position improves for white after that trade. Really learned something there. On the other hand, further in the game that black bishop didn't look that great behind all the pawns of the same colour after g5 Might I add you're really krushing it with your thumbnails recently, you look absolutely fabulous in the used photos. Keep it up, really appreciate your quality content.
This is the first time i stop on your channel and i really appreciate the way you describe the position and the game. Thanks a lot Irina. Merci beaucoup.
@10:50 what is interesting here is that black has a positional bind in the centre qwith an overprotected advanced d pawn. But white is not obstructed by it as white has the e file and space to advance on both sides of the board. So really the knight is misplaced on c6 and should be on c3 right now. If back could achieve this and get both bishops off then the queen side is a headache for white. Whether it was right or wrong to trade off the bishop earlier Black's bishop was much worse later than white's.
You changed your photo. I watched a second time positional chess. Your explanations on seeing the whole board and using your pieces to effectively gain advantage is difficult. The B7 seemed like a must take. Your explanation why it is not a good move was made clear once the Queen moved forward. Very good lesson a second time around. Thanks
At 7:40, instead of b4, couldn't white take on d5? The black queen is overworked, needs to guard the e8 rook as well as the d5 bishop, and the in-between move Rxe2 can be answered by another in-between move Bxf7+ Or did I miss something?
Hi Irina! Funny story: I had a troll pretend to be you in my stream several years ago. I figured it out eventually, but I still think I've met you sometimes, even though I really haven't! Happy Holidays from a chess player that has never met you! :). Thanks for the video!
Irina's assessment of Carlsen's play: "a nice effort" 16:50
As an intermediate player, i really like this and all your recent content with the ongoing theme of when to trade pieces. So ridiculously helpful!!

Can u please tell.me when Gm returned the bishop like his dark squadre bishop from c4 to f1 why they returne the bishop all the way down????😂😂

The fight for the e file was very instructive.
Thank you Irina for this analysis! I learned a lot of positional concepts

You're not a real chess player until you've sacrificed the exchange. And won.
As always, extremely nourishing. Thanks🖖

Appreciated listening to your careful reasoning. Thank you!😇
you have a gift to explain complex ideas in simple language. Awesome.
great explanation of positional strategy, in some ways the most advanced topic of all in chess
Merci beaucoup pour votre analyse très pédagogique.

Great video Irina....looking forward to watching more of your videos 😊
Loved the lesson. Maybe put something with chess in the thumbnail. Don't think I would have clicked if I wasn't already subscribed..
Glad it's back up. I felt bad that there was a technical issue at first
Excellent Video with great presentation thanks for sharing.
Excellent lessons Irina. Happy Holidays!

Very good analysis by GM Irina Krush.
Great video, thank you
I always love to hear crush and learn about crushing positions. Thanks Irina.
5k since Thanksgiving. At this rate, Santa will bring another leather jacket for christmas
I think I understand what you were explaining mainly because you simplified your thoughts so well. You could be a teacher.
that was so interesting. thanks Irina!

No one else does analysis better than Irina.
Great video!
Checkmate with nook and knight is a checkmate I would not have seen in a game. Nice! Importance positional analysis study.
This is literally the sort of education that i am looking for on youtube. Goldmine. 1860 player here.

okay now we can actually see the bishops 😹😹😹 first upload got me confused
Krushing it!
Love all your material Irina!
Хороший обучающий контент делает Ирина.
I would have avoided the bishop trade for a simple reason - because Magnus offered it.
Nice vid!
Hello, what style do you use for the board? I love the piece style and board color. If anyone knows.
It's Helena-Robust and Lilac
6:24 but couldn't Black's king step on the f File and then play Re8 to contest the open file?
which website is this chess background from...which theme?

Why can't Black avoid giving up the e file by playing ..Kf8 (instead of bringing the White Queen to e4 by exchanging Rooks on that square) ?
❤❤❤❤❤
I am a simple man. I see a beautiful woman, I click.
@@controlofsound 😂😂😂 really?
I'm here for the chess. Not the women. 🤓
Looking beautiful and yummy 🤤 😋
