NOOO!!! There’s GOT to be a part 2!!This was beautiful! Shot so brilliantly and realistically! Almost felt like I was watching a play! And I am well aware of my exclamation marks but I swear this short won’t leave my system until there’s a part 2!! Well done to everyone involved, especially to Brett Chapman!!
brettinthecity I will definitely wait for that day, patiently. Till then the replay button will be impatiently overused. So so intrigued about the character backstories... argh... best film I’ve seen in a while. Once again congratulations xx
This is brilliant. The acting is great, both women deliver their lines the most natural and genuine way. And the dialogue itself is genius: just showing how two people who know each other in a very deep way and who make each other so vulnerable are open and honest with each other. I would go as far as saying that I see the uniqueness of same-sex relationships here - when there's no gender roles involved, the usual expected behaviors of both people change. It's a completely different dynamic, and the only way to figure out how you would work with that particular woman is being honest and straight-up with her. Great work!
I never write comments but I have to give you the recognition you deserve. I loved the short film. I think it’s the fact that most of us who have had memorable relationships could probably relate to the storyline. Great work.
I'm surprised by some of the comments. It was so beautifully shot and written. And the acting was saying enough. It's refreshing to see a relationship like that, you might just have created one of my favourite short film.
I enjoyed this short film. It feels like it's paying homage to 'The Before Trilogy'. Perfectly shot and nicely executed. Love the chemistry between the two leads. It felt so real and natural. I really hope there will be a part two to this!
@@brettinthecity You can tell. Walking though the city at night is clearly from Before Sunrise. The whole 'getting a second chance to say what should've been said the first time round' is from Before Sunset.
What if you found the one person that totally gets you but somehow it didn't work out? Really enjoyed this lovely film, beautifully shot and a shout out to these wonderful actors, their connection felt so real.
As a (straight male) producer I have to say I am so glad the LGBTQ Community is producing such quality short film works of art. And on a personal level ... oh, my aching heart! That last walk away scene got to me. I know EXACTLY how she's feeling. Great job, guys. Authentic, natural, believable and very well produced. Quality acting. Good post production too!
I saw that you liked my review of your film on Letterboxd! Thanks so much. I’m straight and this short genuinely surprised me by how organic the dialogue is, the chemistry between the actresses and the way you shot it. Very well done.
This was so nice to watch. I personally heavily relate to this.. With the location & dialogue together tho, there's a lot going on even tho we're just walking along with them. this is so simple but beautifully shot, so thx so much
@@brettinthecity no problem, friend. I've actually watched a few times haha its so good. I've got notes & questions to build an idea abt how I'd film, so thx for the ideas
They did not spend the whole night to say it all. They still like each other and honestly they will not agree on meeting just to re connect they want something to say out from their heart but too afraid to say and do anything..I hope there is night 2. I love this nice short film, cute and even though they just walk and talk I can feel the chemistry no boring moment,I just expect more if you had given just one night to say it all don't hold back.
I loved this film! Well done to the filmmaker and everyone involved. Really entertaining... Although as someone who knows Sheffield, I swear they took the long way home :)
Nice short film. I thought the dialogue was hard to follow sometimes because the background noises are a little too loud sometimes. Really liked how the dialogue was written, though. Acting felt natural. Great work!
MINDBLOWING and so realistic !!!! The actresses are truly gifted ! Well done to the director and the girls ! Rebecca (Molly) is totally my style ! If you read me Rebecca you should contact me i have something important to tell you ;)
O my it fills me with dread when I get a email from my ex. The one you would of never let go. But you do you they are not right for you. Why do lesbians always want to be mates with ex's. I had to meet her ex's I hated it. I was never going to be the ex's that gets rolled off the meet the new gf
What a waste of dialogue. Is Molly that stupid to miss the signs that Gretchen just wanted her to take her to bed? What a wasted opportunity. No wonder their broken up. Men stop writing these stories you don't get what women want.
I think you've missed the point. The story appears to be about two past lovers. Grenchin picked a man. Although Grenchin loved molly she knew she was a free spirit. She let her be free.
lol I mean you can just not like Molly's character and like the short film. it just shows that they are somewhat comfortable with each other to say things that could be offensive

On Prozac Thanks so much. Was convinced this film would sit on the internet undiscovered so this is lovey to hear.

No way! It is too amazing to just sit on the Internet unnoticed! I love it and I can't wait for part two. Great acting!

I'm getting a bit of Amy Acker vibe coming from Molly, it's just like seeing younger Root talking to Shaw 😂
I was thinking exactly the same thing when watching this!
i love Root and Shaw 😍😍😍
This type of writing is what I aspire to
This was a really great short movie! You have to make a part two!
How many people tried the crisp thing as soon as she said it?
Mischievous sheldon lol yep. Crisp Crisp
They stillike each other maybe they are scared to be inlove again

Ok not stupid. They broke up. Were really in love. But not compatible. Better friends.or needed to grow. If its love they will make it happen.

Bittersweet story. Molly sounds like Amy Acker, could be the speech pattern.
So true lol
It's so tender
... and that’s how it starts
