At first when I was doing a pacifist run, I was so upset with no way to spare, but as soon as I beat him and heard his backstory, I immediately felt so bad and only became more and more emotional as he went through his speech. As soon as I found it, I dashed over to the now-fixed mercy button without hesitation. Asgore really does have the 2nd most emotional impact out of all of the 6 boss characters. (Undyne would obviously be the victor for me) And then Flowey killed Asgore and I immediately yelled FUCK YOU FLOWEY!!!
Asgore just deeply reminds me of a more depressed Mufasa. An old, caring soul who is simply trying to do what is best for his people, but in turn is betrayed because of it. All he wants is to see his family again.
I don't know why everyone dislikes Asgore. He is just a sad guy who lost his son and wife, and, in a way, his world. He wanted to kill the humans so he can free his kind and destroy humanity. All he wanted was revenge, because he was in a fit of anger.
I think he should be more sad with a little lower tone of voice when talking to Frisk. He's depressed and nervous. He doesn't really want to do this but he sees no other option so while he would sound like he's humming and having a good time? He's pretty much preparing for execution whether it is gonna be him thst dies or Frisk.

So it was a stretch for me, both vocally and for the acting. I wanted to really challenge myself, and perhaps I didn't hit every note as well as I could have. If you killed flowey in the neutral run when the choice of Kill or mercy comes up, he won't show again the next time you play. Unless you decide to do genocide and he shows up anyway. With flowey gone, Asgore sacrifices himself so that frisk can use his soul to return home since it takes a Monsters SOUL and a Human SOUL to cross the barrier

If anything I'd say the worse off you are is the delivery of a line or two. Like buterscotch pie sounded a bit weird to me. Also is anyone else getting an Alan Rickman vibe from this voice?

While most of your voice acting for some characters captures the essence of the character, I feel that your style of voice acting does not match characters like Asgore or Sans very well. But like most comments, this one will be ignored, harassed, and forgotten among the masses of fans.
+Timber Puppers Well if you ask, one: that both of them sound to similar to each other, and two: Assgore always seemed like the deep a bit old voice, like a classic mighty kings voice, and while sans voice isn't the one I mostly imagine, it still fits with the character to me.
Well, this is rather nice. Well +Timber Puppers, I feel that Asgore has a very deep voice with very low octives. So while you tried to do a low octive impression, your natural vocal variety struggled to maintain the pitch. As I said, just my opinion, but when I think of Asgore I think of a destroyed father who's lost all hope, and it reflects in how slow his dialogue is. I have yet to find a suitable voice among other voice actors, and I do not have any nice equipment to record, but again this is all just a personal opinion.
Mindy Lee There's a few videos called Undertale Against Humanity where VAs roleplayed as Undertale characters while playing cards against humanity. The guy who did Asgore was British and spoke with the accent with Asgore. It's a really funny series so far.

If Goatdad is best dad, then Timber Puppers is best voice actor. :P The only minor complaint I have is probably the fact that he sounds a bit like Sans, but even then, the way Asgore speaks feels different than Sans, more melancholy and plagued with sadness in his words. The only minor complaint I have is probably the fact that he sounds a bit like Sans, but even then, the way Asgore speaks feels different than Sans, more melancholy and plagued with sadness in his words. Overall, I loved your performance for Asgore, and I'm stoked to see Omega Flowey when you get to him. :D
