Can u pls answer the following qs :-
1. What is the charging current mentioned in the charger Data sheet ?
2. How long does it take to fully charge a EV with a 1.ph , 230v , 15A socket ?
3. Is any special permission required from the State Elec. Board before we use personal home AC chargers ?
4. What is the typical cable size used to connect the meter to the 15A socket /how much distance / what is the allowable voltage drop ?
Even though I know my home charging setup is properly done, I always verify if the earthing is working or not. Everytime I charge my car, before that I just connect the plug in the socket and switch the charger on without connecting to the car. I just wait for like 5-10 seconds to confirm no other light except the first one is showing up.

When I put my TATA nexon ev for charging after 15 minutes red light starts blinking. Why is this issue ?
Is installing a stabilizer a solution for blinking red light?
One more possible problem for single green light is that you have not engaged handbrake.
I also saw in one of the videos is that you also have to open and close the driver door for charger to connect.

Thanks. This was helpful. I had the handbrake on still it was not charging but on releasing it and pulling it back up the charging started. One more thing to try when it does not charge and stuck in one green led mode.

What is the size of extension cable used. Pl inform me. Recently l have purchased cable which is 2.2 square mm. Will it do or l have to go for 4 square mm. in view of safety.
If Your fidder cable is 4sq mm & the cable from your meter to charging box is 2.5 sq mm , then it's is safe , mcb should be there

Tata should definitely come out with the report to put existing owners' minds at ease.

Pl comment about the problem “ unable to unlock changing gun” after charging and disconnecting power supply . Some one suggested remedy of pulling un-lock ring .. this is messy …and risky too

@@guruprasad101 Company will provide all of these. You don't have to do anything separately. Only if your electric meter is more than 15 meters away from your charger then you have to give 300 rupees per extra meter of cable above free 15 meters.
i have booked nexon ev max already , in my home i get 250volt supply generally is it okay or i will get problems in charging the car?

You need to sort the earthing of plug point ... call an electrician to fix it
Hi today I got a new issue in charging 1,2,3 light on green mode constantly. And the display also showing connected in white not in green no time of charging is showing. 26% charging is there but still it’s not charging. What is d issue? If you came across like this plz let me know how to fix. 2-3 times removed and plug Ed again but still not charging.
Maybe the power supply is less try using the charger at some other location to verify if it's working fine

It is power supply issue. Off the complete power near the meter and restart it again. it works fine. Or else try to charge in a fast charger and again try it it get et automatically.@@abhinavraj1001

Today i am getting a charging issue where the 1st 2 lights are green. The 3rd light is blinking green and 4th light is blinking red. 3rd and 4th light are blinking together.
What could be the reason? Please help
There could be 2 things
1. Earthing issue at your property
2. Most common, Plug over heating issue.
Just check if the plug is over heating, if it’s over heating then you need to show the charger at your service centre

One proble i am facing with charging from the day of installation is the car is charging but the 3rd green and red light blinks simultaneously, the car keeps on charging but it takes around 1.5 to 2 more hours than showed on display what might be the issue...🤔
That’s because the plug is over heating. Record a video n show it to your service centre, the charger needs to be changed asap

Most common issue of green and red light blinking due to charger overheating. What is the solution other than switching off for sometime
Try n find out the source of over heating also avoid charging with car n charger in direct sun
I was getting similar error when charging at a relatives'' place. It was sorted when the earthing was improved.
I also get similar problem once in a while on Tata Power installed set-up at my place. I have covered parking and i charge during night time hence external overheating may not be a reason.
I am receiving 270 volts from the electricity board.
Earthing is properly arranged.
Some time I received a red light along with one green light.
Kindly suggest the problem
Get the power supply checked by an electrician something must be wrong in the plug point also alternately try connecting your charger on a different plug point

I am not able to judge the problem.
What we think if the charging box is exposed to sun and the car is plugged over night the plug gets heat up.
Still we would suggest to get your charger checked from the SC
Charger gets hanged up if power goes out simultaneously when charging switch is put on. Later after leaving charger unconnected to car for few minutes issue goes away...

Charger connected comes as soon as the gun is connected to the car ... the lights have to come on to start charging check your charger at some other plug point n see

Problem solved
Earlier i was using dual shoe 16A with 4mm wire 3core. And facing heating issue red light was blinking when charger was overheated.
Updated to single shoe 16A, Wiring updated to 6mm single single wire and heating issue solved. Checked for 3-4 days and no red light blinking even at 45’C.
Is the problem permanently solved after this change?

I am too facing an issue with blinking red light while charging which signifies plug overheating. Customer care is unable to provide any technical assistance or loop in PPL from Tata power who can resolve. Plug is extremely hot when removed. I am afraid if this can harm battery nin long run n scared to leave car on charge for long. Anyone who has resolved it successfully?
Try n slow charge at a different plus point n see if it still heats up ... if it doesn't it could be something to do with your socket

Low voltage is a serious issue please get in touch with your local electricity board n get it fixed also even if it starts charging it will take too long to charge if the voltage is less

मेरे पास Tiago EV हैं मैं रोज चार्जिंग को कार लगता हूं तब चार्जर कनेक्ट की थोड़ी आवाज आती हैं और चार्जिंग चालू हो जाती है मगर आज चार्जर कनेक्ट होने के बाद काफी देर फैन चालू रहता है ऐसी आवाज बोनेट में से आने लगी. 2 मिनिट में मैंने चार्जर डिस्कनेक्ट कर दिया और फिर कनेक्ट करने के बाद फिर चार्जिंग चालू हो गई। मुझे यह सवाल है की वो फैन जैसी आवाज क्यूं आ रही थी और आवाज आए तो चार्जिंग करना सही रहेगा या नहीं?
