External successes do not matter, real success is measured based on our ability to manage our mind and emotions in any situation! An eye opening message!!

There's a beautiful story about Guha. He wanted to do Pada Pooja for Sri Rama. He said,"You don't pay me for taking you across the river! How can one boatman(of Bhavasagara) pay another boatman ?" He also said,'"You turned a rock into Ahalya by placing your foot on it. If you place your foot on my boat,if it turns into a woman ,I will have two women to take care of and no job. So,let me do Pada Pooja first and then you can get on the boat."He convinced Sri Rama like that and did Pada Pooja. I have typed how much I remember. What a devotion!

योगस्थ: कुरु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनञ्जय | सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्यो: समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते || Be steadfast in the performance of your duty, O Arjun, abandoning attachment to success and failure. Such equanimity is called Yog. Both success and failure come and go at regular intervals in our life. No one attain success all the time and also no one is a total failure. Futher, our experience shows that external success has no value without inner success. 'Jagat jitam kena?' 'Mano hi jena.' He is the real winner who has achieved control over his mind.

External success is an illusion we give ourselves to make us feel better. In the grand scheme of things, we are just killing time and not reaching our spiritual goals. When you know the external is irrelevant, you don’t worry about it anymore. Not how things look, what people think, any of it. We need to focus on what is really important - our effort and our motivation to please God.

Inner success is real success. External success is for the material body, mind and world. It is for the present life itself. But the inner success is for the soul and God. It will go with us life after life. . By acquiring good virtues when we become internally good it pleases God the most and we get real bliss, happiness, joy and peace in life.

On our life journey we can choose to not be attached to either success or failure… but rather consider, “Am I putting in my best effort and offering it to God?” Then one can become aware of the inner growth that results from not being concerned about either failure or success - taking it as it comes and making the best of all situations. Seems to be Vedic psychology

Some people will have mostly failures in their lives, no matter what they do. Some people will have mostly success in their lives. Some people might have bit of both. Life is unfair. This success is material success.
