      To me it is very short-sighted if you implied that vehicle emission is only a small portion of carbon emission. Changing vehicles from fossil fuel to electricity also increased the share of renewable energy in china. it is also a step to de-risk from the reliance on oversea fossil fuel.
      Moreover, EV completely changed the road side air quality.

      @@vkhchu Creating strawmen and tearing them down is easy. While important, vehicles do not account for a significant portion of carbon emissions (sources vary, you may stick your's for argument's sake). OP insinuated that the west doesn't want China to go green. This is false, the west doesn't want China fking domestic competition with cheap government subsidized oversupply EVs of dubious quality. It's not as simple as you'd like because geopolitics is at play. More focus should on China's power generation because China is the largest polluter on Earth.

    I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. AI stocks that have the potential to power and transform future technologies. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies. Maybe there are other recommendations?

      Not all of them though. NIO and Xpeng are still burning cash every quarter even though mostly in R&D investment. I really hope they will survive. I can’t wait to drive NIO or BYD in the US.

      Near the end they talked point 2 were they mentioned alleviating fueling stress to win ev adoption. Like Tesla's supercharger network, and hybrids but it's alarmingly loud what they did not say: battery swapping!! Considering EUs energy crisis battery swap would absolutely be beneficial.

    Unfortunately a lot of dealership of ICE will not survive by end of this year , this will accelerate market share of EVs in China to likely 65% by end of 2025. That’s equivalent to 14 million EVs in China, and likely another 2 million shipments to overseas market.

    EU can have some tech-transfer in EV from China (you heard that right!), but even with tech-transfer, EU companies would not be fast/capable enough to outcompete Chinese's. An example is Indonesia gets HSR tech transfer from China. Do you think Indonesia will outcompete with China in HSR anytime soon? Counter-example: back then German engineers leaked out some HSR tech during their construction in China, and 20 years later, China is dominant in HSR. All because of 'China speed'.

      If you want safe, affordable and tech rich cars, there's only one choice. Americans are subsidizing your auto giants and getting poor end of the deal. Gas guzzlers, out dated rust buckets.
