Biked all over the city yesterday and not a single Centerpoint vehicle, crew, or representative in sight. The fact is Centerpoint had no plan, has no plan, doesn’t care about its customers nor understands how to service a large metropolitan area that regularly gets wind storms, microburst and hurricanes. This is absurd!
RIP Maria... On a related subject, a category 1 storm lands 80 miles from Houston and now 85% of the city has no power. There is something badly wrong with the power grid of this city.
My power is out over here a little south of Galveston and it's hotter than two foxes f**king in a forest fire without a drop of water in sight. I'm sweating from tits to toes, needless to say it's miserable. I hope they can get it back on soon.
@@tammywarford372172 hours? The storm just hit last night. There are crew trucks most likely in your area now...make sure you appreciate their efforts to make your life normal again
Amazing to have so many without power in the middle of summer after only a Cat 1. What would they do with a Cat 4 or Cat 5? Wishing all the best to those sweltering in this heat.
Lived in Destin Florida for 30 years so I been there , done that. Why these fools don’t prepare ahead of time is beyond me. Always had a generator and portable ac unit, plus a window unit that I can just install and voila. House was cooled , had tv, fans and my fridge running for 2 weeks via my generator after Opal which left Destin, FWB and Gulf Breeze without ANYTHING for 12+ days .
There is one intersection in Galveston with one wire down. There are no stores open no gas stations NOTHING! This is BS not one center point truck in Galveston anywhere. Beyond ridiculous where's the help or even mention of Galveston??? Center point is a joke
Well they sure as hell dont have ANY center point trucks in Galveston. There are absolutely no lines poles or trees down. WTF? Galveston is ALWAYS LAST
Still without power told we wouldn't have it on till monday. One of my family members was told it would be another week. This is insane get us our power
I drove to where the rich krackas live, it was lit up like a christmas tree. Where i live i can't even see my got damn hand in front of my face it's so dark outside.
@@luisuriarte4942there are THOUSANDS of families with babies and toddlers in Houston! NO POWER will be life and deaths for sure. Remember the FREEZE a few years ago…without power? Many died!
Your Centerpoint executives are driving Cadillacs and have generators. You’ll have to ask Ukraine and Israel for some of the money back to rebuild. I was also shocked to read that nine Houston fire stations had to be temporarily relocated because they did not have standby generators…now that’s some planning for you!
Unfortunately its what happens when private companies are not required to keep their infrastructure up to date. You can't go blaming ukraine when your own state government has refused regulations that make companies spend a little bit of that profit margin so repairs like this don't compound when people need power the most.
This storm was only a category 1 imagine a category 3 or 4? Better leave Texas while you can become it's going to be a brutal hurricane season. So Trump says there's no warming climate change well look around it's going to get much hotter
That’s old news I so sorry for that but till today I have a tree who fell and no one come to see if we are fine this country is getting worst and worst the tree is on top of roof

Why did center point lie about having people ready to go, when in fact NOBODY is ready to go?
I've seen one Centerpoint Energy truck they were buying snacks at Buckees

It's a hurricane 🙄
It’s a problem with the entire power grid of Texas 😒 since Texas decided they wanted their own powergrid

That’s awful not even Harvey left all that people without power🥵

So sorry, RIP beautiful grandma 😢
Don't forget (depending on gas & flood proximity) you can cool down and charge up devices in your vehicle
All these houses and apartments are so costly and they are absolutely useless... houses are built like a death trap during national disaster
When will we know that our power will be back on cause I’ve lost power since 10 this morning
I had lost power/cell service since around 6am 😭
A big thank you to the state of Ohio and the Blott utility services. These men are working out here. 🇨🇱✊🏾Also all workers.
