Hiya Peter, my dear old Dad worked on the type 2s with the Mirlees engines for a while back in the day, I still have gauges he used for measuring cylinder flex. You've got some splendid models there love the bachmann
Hi, I have got the same Bachmann 31123 with sound, I remember 31's on short trip workings around Birmingham, Bescot & Washwood Heath area after the 25's were withdrawn, on the WR they could turn up on anything. This one has a better sound file, I had to slightly adjust the pickups for good running, other than that it is a very good model. Will be interesting to compare the Accurascale version when it arrives, cheers for the video!
@@hermitageroad4713 Yes, candidate for a stay alive & a bit of weathering. Good locomotive for short trains the 31 always good value when one turned up, lots of character & noise. Have just subscribed & will check out your other videos, thanks, Martin
Hi Pete. As has been said below, a very interesting video! I'm not particularly interested in Modern Traction (although technically, is this 'Modern' any more as I have come across them on Heritage Railways?) But it was lovely having some background to a particular class of loco both from real life and from the models standpoint. Thank you very much for sharing this 😄
Hi Pete, It's an interesting video, and we've enjoyed watching it....cheers James 🙂👍
thank you James
