This portal cycle seem to be the moment school AD and presidents went from tolerating NIL to embracing it. I saw it at Kentucky the morning they hired Pope, Mitch Barnhart was doing the media rounds and made a point to confirm they received $4m in NIL that day. In the past he would've deflected and never addressed NIL specifics.
