Very good! I'm looking at scalability, what would be better if >1000 users are posting a 150 Mb file? Splitting it up to smaller chunks of course but what would be a good size? I'm using a small AWS EC2 instance which has 25 Mb of free memory space.
If you end up with a tightly coupled code, if you mix the execution of your business logic with how the threads are managed, then it means that you don't know how to write code. It has nothing to do with Java or locks.
