I received a visit at my front door by the police. My son had left for work 10 minutes prior. We drove by the accident scene on the way to the trauma center. I knew when I saw what was left of his car we would be facing a life changing event. I signed the withdrawal paperwork and held him as he died. This was 3 years ago, losing Rick ended my life in essence. I exist but am destroyed. Medication, hospital stays not therapy had been able to bring me back. I make an effort to remind my friends to give that lecture to their kids about seat belts, being distracted by a cell phone or speeding. Your family is blessed beyond belief and I am so happy you have your boy. ❣️
I'm so sorry to read about your beloved son Rick and his accident. I don't have kids of my own but lost my only brother & sister from the same parents 4 & 3 years ago. 💔 I don't know your pain as a parent losing a child but my heart goes out to you. Know that we shall see our loved ones again one day. ❣️❤💜💙🤍🙏🙏🙏🫂
I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your beloved son, Rick. My heart aches for you. May God watch over you as you navigate your future in the midst of your sorrow. I'm so, so sorry.
My friend would not ride with me unless I put my seat belt on nor could I be a passenger in her car if I didn't wear my seat belt. She got me in the habit of wearing it. Not long after that, I got in a bad accident caused by a drunk driver. Had I not been wearing my seat belt, I no doubt would have had very serious injuries. I was always thankful to her for forcing me to wear it when I didn't want to.
As an accident reconstructionist, I investigated many unnecessary deaths due to no seat belt. Seat belts are designed to keep someone in a vehicle (4000 lbs of metal and glass) and not ejected. Always buckle up!!! ...no matter where in the vehicle!
I don't understand why they don't wear seat belts they grew up with car seats and hopefully families who by this time must have grown up with them too. I am 64 years old and I was a young adult when seatbelts became law. It was hard for us. I just don't get why it isn't second nature to them.
I never wore seat belts. One day I felt impressed to put it on. So I went ahead and put it on. 5 minutes later another driver ran the red light and we were broad sided on my side of the vehicle. Our vehicle went into a display window of a store. One of the things that was revealed in the investigation is that if I had not been wearing a seat belt I would have went through the front window of the vehicle head first into the display window because of the impact. I walked away from the accident with bumps, bruises and cuts. The accident was over 25 years ago and I always wear my seat belt. I give all the credit to the Lord for His protection on that day.
Thank you Dennise for sharing your story. We are so glad that you are okay and that you were protected. May we share your testimony on our Social Media?
@@KaileeMillsFoundation Yes, you can use my story but be sure the glory and credit goes to the Lord. Because I know he was the one who impressed me to put my seat belt on and the one who protected me.
@@Dennise7 @Kailee Mills Foundation It’s heartwarming to hear you give the glory to God. He speaks to us in so many quiet ways, and we will hear him if we just listen. My encounter was not seatbelt related, as I was very compliant with that, (my dad was a cop after all) but I was in a near miss several years ago myself and I know it was HIS grace that saved me as well. Here is my short story… From a rural area of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, after a fun weekend with friends, I was heading back home to Florida. I was 21 and this was my first solo trip out of state. After hugs and tears and promises to call whenever I stopped and resumed my journey, and a fuel fill up, and snack stop, I was ready to hit the road. As I exited the gas station to the stop sign from the side road, I was waiting to turn left (southbound) across traffic onto a two lane divided highway. I saw only a semi truck approaching from my left, headed northbound in the outside lane closest to me. I knew I had plenty of time to cross in front of the truck, over to the median where I would then turn left into the southbound lanes. But just as I began to proceed across to the median, for some (to this day) unconscious reason, my foot immediately stomped the brake and aborted the acceleration into the roadway. In those few seconds that I waited for the semi to pass, a vehicle suddenly appeared in the inside northbound lane, adjacent to and overtaking the semi at well beyond the posted 65 mph speed limit. While I would’ve had plenty of time to cross in front of the semi, the car that was hidden from view till that last split second would have T-boned me in his inside lane and I would not be writing this now. I have come to listen to those instincts, trust that intuition, and hear the voice of my higher power. It sounds like you heard and followed that quiet voice as well. It was inspiring to read your story, thank you for sharing, and please continue to share as I believe you have been given the gift of opportunity to influence positive change to people who might not otherwise hear it. ~Blessings
I am an avid seat belt wearer & feel odd if I'm not buckled up. A seatbelt saved my life when I was hit by another car head on. The police officer who was 1st to look into my car was pale faced & seemed shocked 😲 when I responded to him and got out of my car....he told me that he had seen cars with alot less damage & the people inside were dead. I did lose consciousness briefly from the impact but other than a few really huge bruises, was fine 🙂 👌 I ALWAYS tell people to buckle up!
What a blessing that Sam is recovering from the accident. And, what great work the Kailee Mills foundation does in the wake of their own family's loss. May God watch over you all.
I was recently in an accident, even though the seat belt caused a bad injury to my right shoulder, it saved my life. When anyone is in my car, they must have their seatbelt on at all times. It scares me when they don’t.
I wear my seatbelt every time I am in a vehicle. In the past 12 years, I have been involved in three bad car accidents and while I suffered some injury, I was saved by the seatbelt and the airbag.
Such a powerful message. As a long time Drivers Education teacher I pray that thru Sam’ story…. and all the one’s after him that these kids will buckle up and put their phones away. It’s 100% PREVENTABLE !
I’m 18 but when I was younger, maybe 10-15 I NEVER wore my seat belt until me and my family got into an accident it wasn’t even that bad but it scared me so much I started crying and I was afraid to even be in a car for months afterwards. When I saw that my mom broke her ribs and arm that really gave me a reality check to start wearing every time no matter what.
I've always worn a seatbelt from an early age , one of my exs was a show off used to drive like a maniac his sister used to make him stop and get me into her ex car when I was pregnant
It's heartwarming to hear about good caring people instead of the flip side of human behavior. Kindness, help and appreciation is remembered and mimicked...
My heart goes out to all the parents who are dealing with the trama of having children hurt. Thank God there is still people who want to help others recover from trama. Love and prayers 🙏❣️🙏❣️🙏
My daughter was not one for wearing her seatbelt. But the day she left her boyfriends house she absent minded put on her seat belt. No 4 blocks away she lost her brakes at a red light and collided with a van. She knows that had she not put on her seat belt she would have gone throw the windshield. She still doesn’t know why that particular moment she put on her seat belt, but since she has never forgot to put on her seat belt on since. Someone up there was riding on her shoulder for luck and she got the best blessing ever.
Please wear your seatbelt.33 yrs ago I was in a severe car accident and I was not wearing a seatbelt and unfortunately I’m paying that price with severe lifelong brain and nervous system damage. Wear a seatbelt and do not put your vehicle in drive till ALL your passengers have there seatbelts on to.
It's NEVER "too soon" or "disrespectful" to talk about the stupid choice not to wear a seatbelt!!!! Maybe if we talked about it MORE it would save lives!! I was in an accident in '67 thrown out of a VW Bug. It didn't have seatbelts as a LOT of cars didn't in those days. I was lucky I landed where I did, BETWEEN a lot of boulders. And the car rolled but landed wheels down on top of me. So the car probably bounced and broke my pelvis and jaw. I was so lucky. A couple years after that I bought my first car, a 64 Ford Ranchero. It came with only lap belts (maybe better than nothing) anyway, I realized that belts HOLD YOU IN THE CAR!!! I have NEVER not worn a seatbelt since then even in parking lots. It would be like riding a roller coaster with out the safety bar! My son was born in '77. How I would jave loved to hold him in my arms on the way home (and every waking hour) but he went home in a car seat and EVERY TIME we were in the var! He was hyper-active, but in the car he was perfect as could be. He wasn't very old when he started trying to fasten the seatbelt by himself! I have read that parents are their children's first driving instructor. Lots of things you should be teaching your children about driving especially wearing a seatbelt and you should be a good example each and every time! What part of "ejected from the vehicle" or "thrown from the vehicle" can't people picture? And not wearing a seatbelt can harm or kill OTHERS if you're thrown around in the vehicle, you're thrown on the road and someone swerves to avoid your body. Or rescuers get hit trying to CLEAN YOU OFF THE PAVEMENT!! Not wearing a seatbelt is STUPID and IRRESPONSIBLE!!!
I agree with you I was always made to wear a seat belt in the car regardless if I'm driving the car or if I'm a passenger. It's such a senseless tragedy that was preventable.
My parents went thru losing their oldest son this past Dec 19 in a car accident wearing his seat belt after hitting black ice hit guard rail and his legs were severed below the knee he bled out.The sad thing in this is my parents are 86 and 84 sad to say that this destroyed our parents now the only son already tired of life i need to step up but have no idea how.
First I hope your family is doing well. I was recently in an accident, my vehicle flipped over and I landed in a small ravine off a road, that was not steep. I was saved by my seat belt, as it held me upside down for an hour. The EMT's cut the belt, and I was able to drop the 2 or 3 feet. I was hurt, but I felt no pain until much later. I'd been given a lot of pain drugs to stay still. I was alert the entire time. I broke 7 ribs on the right, 1 on the left and my breast bone. I am just now finishing the healing part, I am still on 02 most of the time. After many weeks in the hospital and rehab, I am closing in on an end date. Many happy wishes as you all move forward.
Wow. Thank you for sharing your testimony with us. We are so happy to hear that the seat belt saved your life and that you are doing so much better today! We would love to share your story to impact others, if this is something you would be okay with, please email info@kaileemillsfoundation.org!
In the 80's we never wore seat belts, now anyone gets in my car, seat belt has to be on, we never know as kids, heartbreaking, sorry for these families, no one should lose a child.
my son and his wife and daughter were in a car accident .. his wife was driving ... my son was sitting side ways talking to her and my grandaughter had her legs crossed in the back seat ... the air bags went off and broke my sons back (which he has recovered somewhat) and my grandaughter received minor injuries also. I never knew this could happen and I'm sure other don't either. sitting straight face forward and feet on the floor ... they don't tell you about this ...
Seat belts are designed to protect the passenger correlation with the airbag, however, the passenger has to be facing forward, feet on the floor, with lap belt low across hips, and the shoulder belt across the collar bone. If the passenger is out of position, then the seatbelt can cause injuries. There’s some scary videos of folks with their feet on the dash or with the shoulder belt behind or under the arm of the passenger.
I work in a Trauma Unit, I hate to see people in a passenger seat with their feet on the dash. I have seen some horrendous leg & pelvic injuries brought about from the feet up position.
One of my really close friends growing up was killed in a car wreck when we were teenagers. She never wore her seat belt. That cold October night, she and her boyfriend were fighting. She got in her car, was texting and driving, fighting with her boyfriend, didn't have her seat belt. She went off the road and hit a tree head on going 65mph. ( police said ) She was ejected and was killed instantly. I'll never forget that phone call or that tree... Rest In Peace Mandy #GoneButNotForgotten
Some crashes are so severe that occupants will not survive. 😢 BUT I've seen car roll-overs where a non seatbelt wearing passenger was thrown out the front or rear window, onto the road where they were killed by passing vehicles. What a waste!
I didn't have a car wreck but went to ER over 18 times in one month finally they found out when I got hit a van it tore a hole in my pancreas and a pseudo cyst formed I spent 3 months in iowa city hospital and another month at home with feeding to and port in my arm for antibiotics I had 4 kids at time now 5 life is precious I don't take anything for granted anymore I just became a grandma 11 months ago and I got news on mother's day I'm going to be a grandma again God bless everyone who sees this keep them safe and protect them with your love Jesus name amen ,
I was in a bad automoble accident on November 20, 2021. I was saved by the airbags and most importantly the SEAT BELT!! Though I had a partially fractured sternum, I had no other significant injuries except to my pride. My car was a total loss but that was replaced. Always wear a seat belt when ever you're in a car. It could save your life.
Hi there! Thank you for sharing your testimony. We are so happy that you are okay! May we share your story on our social platforms? Do you happen to have photos of your accident?
@@KaileeMillsFoundation You can. I can also provide photos. I'll need your Email address to send them. It is still a bit rough for me as I can still feel where my sternum was fractured sometimes. However I can basically do everything that I was able to do prior to the accident.
My very good friend who died in an accident without seatbelt then few months later my aunt died without seatbelt too. She was with my two cousins and one of his girlfriend. His girlfriend was in bad shape but few months later she got better. My two cousins were just minor injured. After what happened with them. I started to wear seatbelt whenever I drive even though I asked my passenger to put seatbelt on. Seatbelt do save our lives. My condolences to Kailee Mills’s family and friends.🤟🏻❤️
Seatbelt saved my brother’s life. Wasn’t for it, he wouldn’t be alive. His face to the brunt of the trauma. But if you saw the truck, you would’ve thought otherwise.
Very long time ago I was driving to Louisiana passing Texas. Everyone there drive like they’re in the speedway. A young woman gave me the flip sign for driving the speed limit in the slow lane.
So happy to hear Sam is well❤️ Sending you well wishes! I have the same car he totaled them Maxima’s are a bit scary… seems when I go to go around someone it seems like it’s so crazy fast it pulls from side to side as the speed picks up…
I do wear my seat belt but I did grow up when you didn't wear seat belts. I later became a EMT and really seen the importance of this. Please wear yours
I’d wear a seatbelt in the house if I had one. I’ve been in many car crashes and bicycle accidents and had a bad head injury when a steel gate hit my head in a parking lot. I now have seizures and a lot of other problems. If anyone gets in my car & doesn’t buckle up we’re not going anywhere. Period. I’m glad Sam recovered and is doing well. 👍☮️🌞🌟💕

GOD IS GOOD. Thank you Lord for saving Sam. I pray for Your favor on both Mills families, and for the Kailee Mills foundation be successful to helping other families. In Jesus Name I pray.
Glad their son is doing great. Also, it's important to put your dog in a quality harness or quality secured crate if they are riding in the vehicle. Not front seat as the airbag can kill them. Too many people go freestyle or worse yet, put them on their laps which can cause an accident and hurt others in the car too. Don't let them look out the window either- one pebble can blind them. Be safe out there people.
Thank you for that info, my lil shi tzu loves to ride with the windows down n he loves to ride with the wind, but from now on, I'll be more responsible, with him coz he's my pride and joy. (I would have never thought about a pebble hitting him, even though my windshield got a crack the other day with a small pebble. I'm 68 yrs old n u always learn something new everyday). GOD bless
@@dellagriego7032 I love Shi Tzu's. Yes, do him a favor and put him in a high quality and secured crate, in the back. Not a cheap on that will break. We use a "Sleepy Pod" brand harness (passed safety tests- most others do not) but a Shi Tzu is very light, a crate might work better. th-cam.com/video/pIHrDdu_bVE/w-d-xo.html If he has to be in the car, you have to take extra steps to protect him. Even a 10mph tap can be fatal.
I got into a car accident...this was back in the 90s..I mean btwn 93 or 94...I was coming back from a skiing trip...we got hit head on...I was the only one not wearing a seat belt...I was still rushed to the next local hospital about 15 mins away from the accident..My mum, my uncle and a few friends came to the hospital to see me...please wear a seat belt..I walked away with cuts and bruises

I lost my big brother 3 months ago, he was killed by a HGV on the motorway, he died of severe internal injuries, we saw him at the hospital morgue & his face & neck were perfect. We're awaiting the inquest, it's in october, but a few suggestions, are that the Air Bag squashing him so considerably may have hugely contributed to his death, as his injuries were all torso related. I'm praying this isn't the case, coz knowing that something that's designed to save you, actually killed him, will be difficult to information to live with💔
if its any comfort his injuries and evidence of it would've been far far worse without airbags and there would've been not much left to look at.. take it from me I've seen it first hand . not many will walk away from critical collisions with Heavy Transport vehicles
I was in a roll over accident in 2007 with my 3 week old baby. I always wear my seat belt. It’s just a habit I always wear one. This day I put my baby in his car seat pulled the seat belt threw and locked him in. Half way on our trip he started to cry I took my seatbelt off to grab his binky turned in my seat as My fiancé was driving along a old man got confused and went into our lane. We were in a SUV so of coarse it flipped. I went out the window and as the car rolled I rolled with it. Saw the belly of the suv as I was being tossed like a rag doll. I ended up a good ways away from the suv. Had no idea who I was what had happened that I even had a child in the suv when I landed on my knees. People running up to me screaming it felt like a dream a bad one. Long story short. After I was airlifted away the cops and fiancé found our son under my front seat upside down. His seat belt had broken! I fractured a couple vertebrae had extensive muscle etc damage to my right shoulder due to it hitting the frame of the car as It rolled and threw me out had face cuts and bruises needed stitches etc.. But I was told that had I had my seatbelt on I would have more then likely died. Even tho I was told that by the officers and drs that took care of me I still wear my seat belt always. Even tho my sons belt broke it still kept him in the car and the car seat protected him. To this day I still tell everyone my sons Car seat saved his life. I didn’t get rid of it for a long time. He is 16 years old now and I still think about the accident. We always wear our seatbelts. My car beeps and dings until you do even if you drive for a while it never stops. It’s a 2019 so it has all the collision protection. But you have to wear your seatbelt for it to work. It seems as if more and more people drive distracted and now there’s cell phones so now it’s even worse. Remember to always wear your seat belt it takes an extra 2 seconds to put it on that’s all a couple seconds it may save your life that day. ♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️
Something like this happened when I was in high school. 4 people in a crash. Two ejected and survived. A third ended up in the front seat and survived. Chad, the only one with his seat belt on was crushed when the car folded in half where he sat.
About 30 years ago i was in a bad accident. The Police told my parents 'IF' i had been in my seat belt i would not been here! Just a freak accident and also one that if i would have my seat belt on i wouldn't be here today. For years....since I have always worn my seat belt!
I do not understand why parents don't reinforce seatbelts if their child is going to be behind the wheel. With my daughters, it was never an option. If they were caught without their seat belts on, they were grounded from everything, and they would have to ride the bus to school.
both share some responsibility. truck needed to wait until lbooth sides were clear before crossing with a trailer and blocking the lane. Then again the rider seemed to have plenty of time to react but he barely slowed down( might have panicked and locked brakes though), or speeding, or distracted for a split second. In the end as a rider its usually your ass on the line so ride like your invisible and its not up to other drivers to save my life. Remember. You may be right and they may be wrong, but your still dead. That's me 2 cents. Ride safe
True story: a fellow was out walking along the canal here and saw a worse-for-wear looking (but still drivable) pickup truck just sitting in the grass near the water. The unbelted driver was ejected and landed in the canal. And died - don't know if from the roll or drowning. If he'd been belted, he could have driven home.
Does this group ever help with advocating for safer driving conditions on roads? We have a terrible problem here in Maine with young people thinking they are invincible behind the wheel. Speeding in a vehicle is the number one cause of accidents here. I live at a very bad intersection and we have kids using the intersection to pull donuts etc. We live near a water plant, Poland Springs, and so there are massive trucks going through at all hours of the night. If those kids are pulling donuts and a semi comes through at the same time I really don't want to think about what will happen. The speed by our house is 35 but most people do 55 or more. We see about 10 or more accidents per year at the intersection all due to speed or running the stop sign. The worst was a guy who ran the stop sign and was hit by a dump truck. I seriously thought I would find a dead body on my lawn when I went outside but miraculously the idiot that ran the stop sign had only minor injuries. One week, the week of the dump truck accident, we had two accidents in a row. I've been collecting accident photos in hopes I can present them to someone in order to convince our state to put in a stoplight to slow people down and force them to stop but I'm not sure how to go about it so I need a little help here. One time a storm destroyed the sign at the intersection and I called DOT but here we are about 6 months later and no one has come to fix it!! So obviously DOT ignores calls from citizens. There must be somewhere else I can bring my pictures and concerns. I want to do something before it is too late for the kids who do the donuts out here. I'm afraid they may end up learning the hard way that what they are doing is dangerous and I wouldn't want to see any parents have to go through that. My uncle was killed by a drunk driver so I am very passionate about keeping our roads safe especially since my uncle's namesake, my son, just turned 15 and got his license. My son is a very responsible driver but it almost feels like no one else around here is. I'm really desperate for help. Thank you so very much. God bless and keep up the amazing work you do.
Believe me, it’s not just Maine; here in Tennessee we have the same problem. Young people - how well I remember - have a belief that bad things happen to other people and that they have a certain immortality. My dad used to say “youth is wasted on the young,” and he was right. It’s a wonder most of survive our teenage years at all with the chances we took.
I’m so glad Sam is OK. Are there no seatbelt laws in the USA? Where I live, it is illegal to not wear a seatbelt. There is a substantial monetary fine if the police catch you unbuckled. And if they catch you driving with children who are not in the appropriate restraints, the fines are even heavier!
In all states of the USA , not wearing a seatbelt is illegal. Sadly many cops would probably drive by seatbeltless drivers without noticing cus lots of people go without wearing one , sadly
My son wouldn't wear seatbelt either. he rolled his car 7 times in the air. They figure he was doing 100 mph rolled between 18 and 25 times. His first time he hit ground again he was on ground through drivers door. When he came to again didn't have a clue what happened. Ended up taking a helicopter ride to hospital. Took 5 years to get healthy. He fell asleep at the wheel. Dipstick still won't wear it. But he has twin boys that he has to explain "why don't you wear one dad"?

Today is my late son's 32nd birthday in Heaven. On Oct 2, 2009, wrecked a recalled (the next day) Toyota PU. Medflighted to another state, was in ICU on a vent for 6 wks. We had to make the agonizing decision to let him go. No idea how many times that truck flipped w/ him before he came out the window and hit his right side on a huge tree and slid to the ground hitting on a big rock. Not wearing a seat belt and no idea if it was the "sudden acceleration that caused him to lose control". He was 19 1/2 yrs old.
My 17 year old son lost control of the car he was driving. The car rolled 3 times and he was ejected out of the sunroof and killed. He died because he wasn't wearing a seat belt. If he hadn't been ejected from the car he would have walked away from the accident....

I am so sorry for this. In the UK seatbelts because law and this has saved so many life’s and serious accidents damage to people at first some people said I have the right not to wear a seatbelt just ridiculous and now years later it it has proofed how important seatbelts are. I am happy for your sons recovery and may he have an amazing life James UK
In 1986, I'd gotten food for my sister and I and was heading to pick her up from work. At that time cops couldn't stop you soley for not wearing a seatbelt, but if they stopped you for something else like speeding they could ticket for no seatbelt. I started pulling away from the curb and stopped and put it on. I was a sporadic seatbelt user(17 years old then) Less than 3 miles down the road a giant bug of some sort flew in my window and I took hands off steering wheel trying to bat it away. I looked up in time to see a parked UPS truck but no time to react and hit it going 30mph. I had a huge bruise in the shape of the seatbelt strap across my chest, and a friction burn on left side of my neck from seatbelt locking but was otherwise totally unharmed. I am 100% convinced I'd have hit that truck head first without that seatbelt on. I always wear it. When my now adults daughters were younger and in seatbelts if I heard a click I pulled straight over til they re buckled. It only took a few times for them to realize I was not playing where seatbelts we're concerned. They both wear them to this day.
I had a car accident last September. The cop said if I wouldn't had my seat belt on i would have been ejected onto the ongoing traffic in the freeway. Seat belt does save lives!
I put mine on bc my brother tows Vehicle's in accident happen ..he told me to make it a habit..I do..he told me you don't want to have to clean ppl body parts up off the road or trees..so please always Buckle up..
The parents should have enforced seatbelts wearing. If you show your child by example and discipline, they will listen. Take the car away until the child understands how important the safety features are.
I don't understand. I learned to drive in the later 70s and never in my life have I gone without a seat belt. My kids never went without car seats and then seat belts. I don't understand why they don't wear seat belts they grew up with car seats and hopefully families who by this time must have grown up with them too. I am 64 years old and I was a young adult when seatbelts became law. It was hard for us. I just don't get why it isn't second nature to them.
Amen

It’s heartwarming to hear you give the glory to God. He speaks to us in so many quiet ways, and we will hear him if we just listen. My encounter was not seatbelt related, as I was very compliant with that, (my dad was a cop after all) but I was in a near miss several years ago myself and I know it was HIS grace that saved me as well. Here is my short story…
From a rural area of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, after a fun weekend with friends, I was heading back home to Florida.

God spoke to you!
Good for you. 👍 I’m glad you had minor injuries. You never know what might happen.
YOU'RE THE MOST AMAZING PEOPLE. PLEASE KNOW THAT THIS STORY SAVED MY LIFE. I ROLLED MY CAR 3 TIMES and I was wearing my seat belt because of you.
God's angel's on earth. Bless you all.
What a beautiful & amazing thing this foundation is doing to honor their daughter!!
Just WOW!! Thank God for people like the Mills'!
We never hear enough stories of positive kindness and prayers that are answered. Thanks for your story.
Rebekka, thank you so much for sharing your testimony. We are happy you are here! May we share your story on social media?

What a blessing that Sam is recovering from the accident. And, what great work the Kailee Mills foundation does in the wake of their own family's loss. May God watch over you all.
I was recently in an accident, even though the seat belt caused a bad injury to my right shoulder, it saved my life. When anyone is in my car, they must have their seatbelt on at all times. It scares me when they don’t.
God Bless the Mills Foundation
I'm so glad Sam is alive and thriving. I hope he's changed his mind about seat belts.
Not 100% but highly preventable
What an incredible foundation!
I've always worn a seatbelt from an early age , one of my exs was a show off used to drive like a maniac his sister used to make him stop and get me into her ex car when I was pregnant
i’m glad he’s ok. this foundation is incredible
It's heartwarming to hear about good caring people instead of the flip side of human behavior. Kindness, help and appreciation is remembered and mimicked...
My heart goes out to all the parents who are dealing with the trama of having children hurt. Thank God there is still people who want to help others recover from trama. Love and prayers 🙏❣️🙏❣️🙏
.....there ARE still people...
Thank you for sharing

Please reach out to a grief councelor. They can help . I’m sorry for your loss
So sorry for your loss gone to soon love Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
I constantly have to tell my boyfriend to buckle up whether if he’s only driving not too far, because you never know. Please buckle up people🥺
First I hope your family is doing well.

Daaamn!!! I've Never heard of that before. Wow.
My deepest condolences to your son and daughter both that’s sad 😢💔🕊💐
WoW... This truly warmed my heart. 💙🙏💙
I’m so sorry for his family. ❤

Praise God..
I've watched the video about Sam two or three times now, and Kailee's video too. I need you to know I wear my seatbelt now all the time.

♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️
.....seatbelt THROUGH...
.....of COURSE....
To lose a child must always be, under any circumstances, must be the worst possible outcome any parent could ever have to experience.
God is great 👍….

Happy ending, glad to hear it.
My dad would never wear a seat belt. He was stubborn. He passed away 11 years ago, but not related to seat belts or vehicles.
My guess is that is why the parents chose to put their child's car on display,to use the wrecked car as a tool to advocate for seat belt safety.
Do you have an investigative reporter on one of your local TV stations? I'd start there
I’m so glad Sam is OK. Are there no seatbelt laws in the USA? Where I live, it is illegal to not wear a seatbelt. There is a substantial monetary fine if the police catch you unbuckled. And if they catch you driving with children who are not in the appropriate restraints, the fines are even heavier!
Same here in Germany.
New Hampshire is a state that doesn't require seat belts.
GA requires them.
In all states of the USA , not wearing a seatbelt is illegal. Sadly many cops would probably drive by seatbeltless drivers without noticing cus lots of people go without wearing one , sadly
In New Zealand its illegal not to wear a seatbelt
My son wouldn't wear seatbelt either. he rolled his car 7 times in the air. They figure he was doing 100 mph rolled between 18 and 25 times. His first time he hit ground again he was on ground through drivers door. When he came to again didn't have a clue what happened. Ended up taking a helicopter ride to hospital. Took 5 years to get healthy. He fell asleep at the wheel. Dipstick still won't wear it. But he has twin boys that he has to explain "why don't you wear one dad"?
That's horrendous. Speeding and no seat belt. I feel sorry for the emergency services

RIP Sam. God Bless you. Will miss you dearly. S o r r y.

I was outside for the days of nobody using seatbelts bc it wasn't illegal.. in hindsight, that was really crazy
The parents should have enforced seatbelts wearing. If you show your child by example and discipline, they will listen. Take the car away until the child understands how important the safety features are.
Every parent’s worst nightmare

Man no state law where your at?.
New Hampshire and American Samoa do not have seat belt laws.
@@rmbr343 only new Hampshire?
Wearing a seatbelt was never a choice for our teens. They wore it or they didn’t drive.
I taught my three kids since childhood to wear seatbelts, they are adults and haven’t stop using them.
I don't understand. I learned to drive in the later 70s and never in my life have I gone without a seat belt. My kids never went without car seats and then seat belts. Yes, before I drove the family car was a pick up with kids in rear. But now I just don't understand anyone going without a seat belt.
I find it amazing that it's not compulsory to wear a seat beat, it's the law in the UK.
