In a regional context, the notion implies that the remaining African nations ought to emulate the actions taken by others. Specifically, it suggests that these countries should strive to liberate themselves from the grip of Western imperialism. This entails breaking free from historical dependencies and asserting their sovereignty on their own terms. On an international scale, the concept signifies a resounding call from African voices for Western governments to disengage from African affairs. It reflects a collective desire for Africa to independently determine its own leadership and destiny, devoid of external interference driven by Western interests. The appeal is for a genuine and unbiased opportunity for self-governance, allowing the African nations to chart their own course and shape their futures in a manner that aligns with their unique cultural, social, and economic aspirations.

So you need to ask these preliminary questions of your leaders before electing them. You cannot evade the foreign element.

This is just a power struggle more than anything to do with helping those ppl. The man is part of the same family. It’s naive to think a multi-millionaire will save them if he hasn’t used his money to save them already! Another 50 years to get him out! Where is the freedom? Let the people choose instead of a forced leadership!
But the citizens have being choosing whom they want. The reverse has always be the case. The last elections in Gabon is a clear example. The General who took over(alleged cousin), I believe is the one that knows the secret and easy means of removing Ali Bongo.
@@ManBtv700my belief is he did a fake overtake because Bongo was already sick and the general wanted to make sure the power remained in the family. Fake seizure of stolen money from son etc… there will never be a fair election unless a system is developed by inside and outside help to combat government corruption! Even then, the system will still be corrupt, but maybe some hope in change. Right now, there is no hope. The people really need to come together and make demands and develop new organizations to seek fairness in the justice system.
This was a CMO - civil military operation and not a COUP as people are saying....research what civil military operations are about and what they entail to protect the people of Gabon - Foundation for Peace.
Is this Lord Almighty for better or for worst for My beloved Africa or this coup is for more devestation for the innocient people. Lord help us to get the answers that we all so thirst for over 500 years.
People of GABON unite and rise against this family, or you will never prosper, they will continue to enrich themselves, with no progress for the common folks
To make noise for you? You and your father were in power for 55 years and kept on stealing. The Junta is making a terrible mistake by picking Ali Bongo's cousin as President.
France 🇫🇷 is directly behind Gabon coup to maintain power within Bongo family and control in the hands of France as usual. That why the Gabonias general has not condemn France at all, and that's why the military junta in Niger and Bokina Faso has not made any statement to supportGabon coup..
Good afternoon all, I think it is time for Africans to develop selfless leadership for the people. They should be concerned with the interest of the people and the country. To youth of Africa let us try to have our African continent in mind and in focus and to ensure Africa becomes successful
This is not a coup, it is a revolution by the people of Gabon who have had enough with French regime. Indeed, it seems more like military backed revolution. I don't think coup is the right word here.
They’ll need to push for the unity of all of black Africa. All these places are not a country each one is a state of black Africa. All of black Africa is one black country without a black leader and one black military force to protect 1.3 billion black lives and 54 black states.
The waves of coups now taking place in some of the African countries will definitely make the citizens poorer as the leaders may not have the usual, access to the global communities. This is disastrous to any nation as the military are trained to protect the country and the citizens and not to govern. No country in Africa has been known to have benefited from coup. There is no doubt coups create excitement at the beginning and at the end deteriorate to hardship which eventually result to chaos among the citizens and at times civil war. We have witnessed that a lot of time these coup leaders find their way to civilian administration as opposed to remain in the military. Not all military forces in Africa are interested in coups but they are rampart in small countries like we are seen across the Francophone countries. If the citizen of these countries feel that they have been oppressed by their former colonial masters, I think there are other ways of getting around the rejection than military coup that we never get any support in the global community. Any country that openly support coups in African have a hidden agenda which is trap. What the military in Gabon should do is to immediately organize a fresh election that will not include the current deposed president rather than trying to hang on to power as some of the Francophone countries now under the military have done. It is unproductive, and chaotic as they are basically cut off from the rest of the world.
I'm not going to attack the Gabon people for celebrating. They are working with a limited amout of information. I can guarantee that most don't have access to the internet.
2 Mln of people and you can't solve their problems having almost everything a country needs to be a great nation after 55 years in power that's super fail
I dont know what the Military in Cameroon is doing, they should mhave overturned Paul Biya by now to teach France who have been stealing African resources since slavery.Ivory coast and all others should follow suite.France will be a Third World country if all the financial looting from the former colonies is stopped.

It sounds like the young colonel is building his empire
This was a CMO - civil military operation and not a COUP as people are saying....research what civil military operations are about and what they entail to protect the people of Gabon - Foundation for Peace.
Is this Lord Almighty for better or for worst for My beloved Africa or this coup is for more devestation for the innocient people. Lord help us to get the answers that we all so thirst for over 500 years.
Biya must be sweating the pants somewhere .
Anyone else notice how the host only interrupt a guest once France is mentioned? 🤔
People of GABON unite and rise against this family, or you will never prosper, they will continue to enrich themselves, with no progress for the common folks
Smells like a family feud
Kudos to the army for putting an end to a brutal dynasty. Gabon is in the process of being reborn.
Tje anchor seems to be blocking the speakers from talking about France? 🤔
We need to condemn coup’s in all its form.
Bingo Bongo is gone for good. No amount of noise will put him back on that seat.
Country with less dam 3 million people and u cant give your people peace of mind?...its crazy.
Several African countries still have sit tight Leaders.
ECOWAS is not concerned about getting rid of poverty in the most affected countries. They are concern in maintaining the global elite interests.
To make noise for you? You and your father were in power for 55 years and kept on stealing. The Junta is making a terrible mistake by picking Ali Bongo's cousin as President.
Good point from arusha
Cry my beloved Zimbabwe, I hate it if this comes to Zimbabwe which seems likely?
The reasons why the issues cannot be addressed is because all the leaders are part of the one deal.
Cameron will be the next
France 🇫🇷 is directly behind Gabon coup to maintain power within Bongo family and control in the hands of France as usual. That why the Gabonias general has not condemn France at all, and that's why the military junta in Niger and Bokina Faso has not made any statement to supportGabon coup..
The coup in Gabon means that Africa is finally free from not only the French, but from Europe.
i pray for unity, the Cause and foundations of the coup is Italy and France Paris, America Napolitano,Napoli,Taranto,Torino, sardinia,Rome
Good afternoon all,
I think it is time for Africans to develop selfless leadership for the people. They should be concerned with the interest of the people and the country.
To youth of Africa let us try to have our African continent in mind and in focus and to ensure Africa becomes successful
Whenever the African journalists want to speak about France, this American changes the subject
This is not a coup, it is a revolution by the people of Gabon who have had enough with French regime. Indeed, it seems more like military backed revolution. I don't think coup is the right word here.
This is literly take over by the military.
Learn basic political knowledge an stop cheering on tyrants
We are tired of exploitation and we will do anything to obliterate any conjunction that is holding our progress.
Why hasn't France condemned the coup? We know all the game
finally the Hage we know clean shaved
They’ll need to push for the unity of all of black Africa. All these places are not a country each one is a state of black Africa. All of black Africa is one black country without a black leader and one black military force to protect 1.3 billion black lives and 54 black states.
Am waiting to see if his actions will be any different?
I’m from Gabon. Ask me any question
those glasses lolololol
Lol it can never be worse than it already is.
Worse? What's worse than being one of the poorest countries in the world while watching one of the richest take what should be your wealth...?
I'm not going to attack the Gabon people for celebrating. They are working with a limited amout of information. I can guarantee that most don't have access to the internet.
All the African countries should kick the colonizers and exploiters out ceremoniously and manage their own affairs and resources.
I think my mans needs to be specific about what we need to make noise about
2 Mln of people and you can't solve their problems having almost everything a country needs to be a great nation after 55 years in power that's super fail
Sadly the same former guard turn interim President Oligui Nguema, is reportedly the cousin of deposed Ali Bongo....lets hope the best for Gabon
I dont know what the Military in Cameroon is doing, they should mhave overturned Paul Biya by now to teach France who have been stealing African resources since slavery.Ivory coast and all others should follow suite.France will be a Third World country if all the financial looting from the former colonies is stopped.
I see this Situation coming to Uganda
My right ear is lonely listening to this. 🙁
The people of Gabon they are right as they elected newleader
Just make noise for him since that is all he asked for
Who is next? I guess Equatorial Guinea (43 years), Cameroon (40 years), and Republic of Congo (38 years). 😢
Means Africa is ready to brake the chains of colonialism, thievery and abuse. Viva Africa, we are with you. Reclaim your power and truth freedom. You have the resources. PEACE.
We need to see some sisters in the leadershop
This is nor US or EU. If you want to see them they should put in the effort, no gender thig here
😂 sisters for what? For more extortion from EU.
look how they "lead" the so called blk community in the US..😂😂
How unsurprising.
Misogyny rampant here.
NOPE
DID ANYONE HEAR UNITED STATES? :p
Nothing cuz I didn’t know it was a country, and I’m not a moron I seldom learn of new countries at this point that aren’t new for everyone like East Timor.
لا الہ الا اللہ و اللہ اکبر
Why in every video sound low
The African rulers have let down the Continent, a family holding up the country as they craft family dynasty. Even people like Museveni and late Gadaffhi
The coup is pre-emptive to keep Frances influence and defend its interests. In that way there will be no other coup where Gabon can gain real freedom and independence. Poor poor people of Gabon. Realy sorry for u.
3:46 it’s been around since 1979
