17:31 “this spherical gentleman” hiS NAME IS BIGWELD. So remember, whether a bot is made of new parts, old parts or spare parts, you can shine no matter what you're made of.
I have a question. I know I understood the social commentary of the film, and the film itself is delightful to look at (in fact it still looks quite modern, considering the fact that it was made over 75 years ago). The acting, too, is well done, with Maggiorani's facial expressions a highlight of the film. Yet I still found the film nearly unwatchable due to the lack of attention to pacing, narrative, or interesting dialogue. I _know_ that this is an intentional choice on the filmmakers part, but I can't understand why film critics still consider the film one of the greatest films of all time, when the writing is so lackluster. Perhaps I failed to be as emotionally invested as everyone else who's seen the film?
Apologies, I don't have access to my notes for this video right now; all my sources are in the description - I had a look through some and couldn't find it, but it may be in the ones written by Amir Engel or Esma Kartal? I don't have access to those. My main source was 'Bicycle Thieves (BFI Film Classics)' by Robert S.C. Gordon, but I had a quick look and couldn't find it in there. Good luck with your essay!
thank you so much, this video was fantastic! really gave me a lot to think about for my essay!
this guy is the girl with the green scarf from the confessions of a shopaholic but for movies
she served looks.... and she served trout... a modern woman

"She...She pied herself the whole time?!"
Kevin Bongiorni is an anagram of the unreleased Fifty Shades of Grey prequel, Viking Bone Noir. Coincidence...?
