Plot: In the first year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty, during the Battle of Jing Nan, Emperor Jianwen cut his hair into the mountains, and his whereabouts became an eternal mystery. His old minister was massacred, and Jing Qing, the ancient adviser, and his wife were killed. His eldest daughter, Ruowei, was rescued by Sun Yu, the second daughter, Manyin, was rescued by Prince Zhu Gaochi. Compatriots of the same flesh and blood, one in the palace, one in the Jianghu, grew up at the same time. Ten years later, Ruowei attempted to assassinate Zhu Di, and her sister Manyin married into the palace. During the assassination, Ruowei encountered Zhu Zhanji, the great grandson of the emperor, and witnessed the treacherous political rebellion in Jinling City. In the twilight, the emperor was worried about the twists and turns, and the country was recovering from the chaos. It was closed to the outside world, moved to the capital, and passed the canal. Zheng He went to the West and made great achievements overseas, and compiled the Yongle Grand Ceremony. In the end, if Wei was determined to give up her personal hatred, assist her husband who ascended the throne, and strive for the greatest happiness and peace for the world, she went through five emperors and six dynasties, saved the Ming Dynasty from danger several times with her own tolerance and wisdom, and witnessed the birth of a great era in the historical torrent alone.

Very frustrating. The production values (sets, costumes, cinematography, etc.) are great but the English subtitles are horrible - the speed is too fast, and layering subtitle over subtitle makes this unwatchable.
