I knew a friend from my swim team who met Michael and he asked for his autograph and he said "I'll just touch u on the hand, that should be good." And that was it, I dunno if it's true or not but I've herd hat he's not super nice. But if u knew him as a friend I bet he would be very fun.

I love this man. I myself am very passionate about water-safety for children, and he recites the drowning statistics, this year so far, for children and says 'this needs to change'. Twice. He had a few short minutes and used several of them to deliver a message so important it will undoubtedly change the lives of families for the good. And we may never know how many children he will help save, except to know that drowning statistics drop. And so Michael Phelps is a hero in another, more important way. Let's all support his message because he is right-'this needs to change'.

Agreed Jimmy Fallon is extremely chatty and talkative and interrupts his guests like crazy, but he oozes genuine warmth. Out of all the other American talk show hosts, I would be most comfortable being interviewed by him. He makes his guests comfortable.
I like that he's teaching kids to swim now. That's actually a really sweet thing to do, he really cares about their safety.

Love his foundation work. Growing up on the Florida Gulf coast swimming was second nature. It's something every child should learn to do, and it's a great low impact exercise.

Phelps had a race final less than 45 minutes before racing Schooling... Schooling is a great swimmer, but if you think he is actually faster than Phelps you are deluded
just put it this way: Schooling won't win many more races and win medals like phelps

Phelps is absolutely right about the dangers of not knowing how to swim or swim well when it comes to children or really anyone. Cornell University REQUIRES a swimming class to graduate. Why? Because swimming is absolutely a life skill, it's incredibly important to teach your children and learn yourself if you don't know how.

I don't hate Phelps but he should do something useful after his retirement too beside obsessing with showing off his son on Instagram. And I have to admit that showing off kids on Instagram can be dangerous. Lots of famous parents protect their kids from social medias, they want their kids to have normal lives like other kids. Hopefully Phelps doing something wisely with his son and his future kids when it comes to social media
