seriously! every ad read i was a little put off and i wasn’t sure if geoff’s general animus towards it was a goof or it actually was just a shitty pod

It has been/is a crescendo of itself and I love it
I just had a quick look at their video episodes, and was very surprised. It's totally inoffensive, just black women interviewing guests and talking about pop culture. I have no idea why they'd market themselves the way they do in that ad copy.

I'm so happy that geoff called out the "non male bashing" copy. That show sounds horrible, and that's how they're presenting themselves. I was gonna send feedback about that.
I actually couldn't believe my ears when Geoff talked about it inside the actual show but I'm so happy he did. There's no way "so the thing is" will be happy about that but good riddance.

Kind of impressive that this is the one episode where Geoff actually does get people to agree to discuss some behind-the-scenes Headgum stuff! Also I have to say that the Pit Wall segments were 100% more coherent than anything that ever graced the HG pod. Love the crosstalking soundboard samples.

I honestly nearly didn't click this episode because of the thumbnail... But it was one of my favourites, easily one of the hits of the month

I know this isn't on brand with the normal comments but I just want Marika to know that all that RSS feed nonsense a couple of weeks ago was super painful, I wrote a script to play different headgum podcasts to fall asleep to 6 months ago and having to painstakingly re-parse the feeds again was not bueno...!!
In the geoff-1 sim the rest of the headgum employees are less inhibited and are thus able murder Geoff the way that they have always dreamed

I've listened to nearly all episodes of the headgum pod, and I say this with all seriousness that this ep is genuinely unlistenable.

Honestly though this does show that the Pit Wall needs wax episodes where they can just talk about whatever.
Every episode is a race review or a single topic special. On weeks without a race it would be fun to do an episode more like this, which was actually unironically a lot of fun as an F1 fan and a listener of both podcasts.

I get the idea behind this episode, but if i cared about literally any part of this, then i would already be listening to the pitwall. Like this was a great little preview into the Pitwall, but i'm not here for that podcast.
I started listening to the Pit Wall when it came out with zero F1 interest or knowledge, just because I love the people. Now I'm a hardcore F1 fan. It can happen to anyone ;)
