- Many LEGO sets aren't so accurate to the licensed property they're based on. So, in this video, I'm counting down the Top 15 LEGO sets that totally are inaccurate to the movie they're based on! Well, fourteen are based on movies, the last one is a television based thing. But still. These sets can be from any licensed theme 2010 and beyond - from LEGO Star Wars to LEGO Avengers, no licensed theme after 2009 is safe, mate!

You know, I wasn't the biggest fan of iron man 3, but the film really redeemed itself when the Mandarin drove out on a fire spewing golf cart.

For the 2013 Iron Man vs Mandarin set, the Iron Man armor is inaccurate because even though “Heartbreaker” appears, it wasn’t used by Tony Stark, it was controlled by Jarvis
1. Everyone hates the cheekbone lines. Ruined lots of Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit mini figures.
2. Battle Packs are meant to be inaccurate.
The only cheekbones that bother me are the avengers lines’ black widow
I'm fine with some of them, but for me, it's the female characters that I think don't usually look right with those lines.

The t-Rex tracker set was meant to be based on when they tranquillized the T-Rex before the start of the movie I believe.

So the reason for the Dark Knight Rises Batman minifig having grey instead of black is because they made a Dark Knight figure with black, but it did not look very good and they probably wanted to show more detail and using black would probably make that difficult. Everything else I agree with

A BUNCH OF THESE FROM DELETED SCENES! Remember in the LEGO Star Wars game they had the scene with the clones pretending to be Jedi as a mission? Which was cut from the film? (;
Key word: *deleted* Meaning they were cut out of the film. So it's still Inacurate to the movies
The famous Ironman 3 deleted scene where the mandarin fights iron man with a Flaming Golf Cart
The movie inaccurate sets also help LEGO to put out a more diverse and interesting line of toys for the consumer, plus the smaller sets help give people awesome minifigures of their favorite heroes or characters from their other favorite series.
The Toy Story army figures are really cool imo. They didn't even need to be based on Toy story to begin with cause they are in resemblance of the plastic toy soldiers we used to get as kids

The face of Aldrich Killien is probably the most accurate part of the minifig, as in the movie he injects him and others with this stuff that makes people explode and the glow in the dark skin tone is a good representation of him after he injects himself as the serum makes you glow

You've got to remember, Lego usually bases these things on concept art or early designs. So maybe the flaming golf cart was SUPPOSED to be in the movie!
Actually, I'm pretty sure that was part of a disinformation campaign to keep the twist from being spoiled.
I got a new idea for a Lego set, marvels: attack of the fire golf carts ultron flying whale ships and turrets in the middle of nowhere with the captain America bike verses blue ants and hulk. :)

I will say as a kid the nostalgia of being fooled by the Mandarin set honestly makes it worth it for me, because I saw that set and so as a kid I completely thought he’d be a real villain and was blown away by the twist
Quite often, any inaccuracies are the film makers fault as opposed to Lego. This is because it takes a while to design a Lego set, sometimes over a year in advance. This means Lego have only got the concept art, not the finalised design.
They may be inaccurate, but they're still cool.

***** Nah, it seems more logical that they were cut from the final movie. They dont create the products after the final movie is released. They release them almost a couple months before the actual movie, so development of the product happened for a while before the movie has even been edited or finished recording, so they rely on concept art and pre-development ideas.

I think you're mostly nitpicking here with most of them. The Iron Man ones were egregious (with vehicles and scenes that just weren't in the movie) but skin tone, black widow's eyes? Common. It's a Lego head, it's not an action figure mold.

Regarding the Rebels sets, they're more accurate to the later seasons (pretty much seasons 2-4). Ezra's hair is canonically black. However, the show's producers gave it a bluish tint because in animation, pure black hair doesn't go well with darker scenes.
Kanan's hair though...? Yeah, that's just completely wrong.
You missed a detail in the antman set, Antony was shot by Yellowjacket before he put on the Yellowjacket suit and fought antman

I've actually got the Toy Story and Mirkwood sets, and it always kinda annoyed me that they were so innacurate, but I still played with both of them a lot.
I had a few of the 2012 Avengers sets, but I didn't really start to appreciate Marvel-related things until recently, so I didn't even know they were innacurate until 2 years ago.

The T-rex tracker set wasn’t supposed to be a scene from the film It was supposed to be showing when vic and acu were capturing all the dinosaurs before they made the park
The reason they put that jeep in the Jurassic World colour scheme is because Lego didn't have the licensing for Jurassic Park, only World.
Isn't Jurassic World the same franchise as Park? Or is it an all new trilogy?

#7: People have probably already commented, but the reason Kylo Ren's shuttle's wings are so wrong was that Disney was being very closed with movie details. Even the merchandise companies were very limited on what information they received, as they were afraid someone would leak spoilers online. Supposedly LEGO wasn't aware that the wings folded out, they only knew about the vertical landing position. So this one wasn't necessarily LEGO's fault.

When I went to the lego store once an employee heard me and my mom talking about the new Kyle ren shuttle and the employee told us that the old one was based off of one photo of the force awakens and in the photo the ship’s wings didn’t move

10:50 you got the wrong version of Hawkeye as an example for comparing it to his Minifigure, as that one is based on the battle of NY towards the end of the first avengers. The glasses he sports may not have been in the movie, I don't recall, but they were definitely used in publicity stills. The only argument here could be the hairpiece not being spiked

#5 you have to give them slack they had to make this way before any big trailers cam out and Lego wasn't given lots of source material to work of of.
I'd like to inform you that Movie Based Set Designers get to look at movies ahead of time but some scenes get chopped from the final movie like the Pretoreon Gaurds Fight set from 2019 just thought I'd let you know great video btw
