You gave her a wonderful little respite while at your beautiful home. Bless you for taking her in and making the effort to find her family. She was very happy with you. You could see it in her eyes in the pictures you took. She must have felt like she had died and gone to heaven. I hope she's happy back home.

Hi Jeff the dogs tail is clearly wagging at meeting the owner 7:05 and stops only when the man who drove the owner up comes into the garden the dog is a timid flighty dog. Everyone shares emotions differently and most older Irish men don't openly show sentimental emotions, I can assure you the owner was happy to be reunited - Sean

I really hate to say what I'm going to say but her tail was tucked immediately and yes she knew they were coming in her body posture spoke of great sadness I thought she had such a puppy quality when she was with you in the house and that quality was so gone when they put that belt on her the tail is tucked the whole time all the way down to her belly, but obviously they love her..for she looks very healthy.. and let's face it if they didn't love her they wouldn't have came for her. So no disrespect to her owner.. but I think she enjoyed her five days and especially the one with the ones who found her and took time out of their lives to reunite her with you! People are so used to seeing dog reunions where the dog goes ballistic and the owner and the dog leap about ecstatically and although that is lovely to see, people and dogs react differently. If you look at 7:05 the dogs tail is wagging on seeing the owner yet prior to seeing him it was between her legs. It stops wagging only when the driver of the car who is NOT connected with the dog enters the yard and approaches. In the short time we had her, her tail was behind her most of the time, she is a timid dog and we had to keep the leash on her as she was wanting to leave and was clearly flighty this can be as a result of many things but she was clearly excited to see the owner. Now, the owner is what I would describe as a typical Irish old school male who is reluctant to show too much emotion in public but I purposely did not film his face as I thought it would be best for privacy, but he was emotional seeing Jess. If you also look at how she walked with me being tied to the bag she healed walking at my side which shows that she is used to being walked on a leash and people who dont care for their dogs in 99% of the cases dont bother their ass walking their dog, and if you listen to the owner say at 7:29 she is flighty and she got out of his yard after returning from a walk with her, so please watch again and you will see her not only wagging her tail but also licking his face and him kissing her the tail only tucks in when he stops her going towards the open yard gate and when the stranger comes in. I may also add that the Animal welfare dept who I spoke with and who gave me the phone number of the owner, the welfare inspector knew the owner and said he would be so relieved to get her back as he rings every day, so Sister I hope this helps you see that you have nothing to worry about. You guys are so wonderful!!! I am a massive animal lover and I always feel for owners who have lost their pets. We have 2 cats and I would be heart broken if anything happened to them or if somebody horrible got their hands on them. Last year 2 dogs were stolen from their owners in the town that I live, I just hope and pray that they were not taken for dog fighting. I cannot stand animal cruelty so I am chuffed to bits that Jess was found by yourself and Lyn.....although I think she looked alot happier with you guys!!!!! Well done xxx

To everyone in the comments that assume this dog wasn’t happy to see her owner... she seems perfectly fine with her owner and her reaction doesn’t seem strange or wrong to me. Every dog is different! I get the same reaction from my dog who now lives with my brother as I moved abroad. I spoil my dog and shower her with love and in return she does the same but it’s always her initial reaction to seeing me again after a long time to be aloof and seem uninterested. After 10 or so minutes she’ll show her excitement and follow me around like a tail waiting for belly rubs, treats and walks.

Third Center Outdoors, she's the perfect example of a dog who is loved, spoiled, and is filled with trust. Her owner raised a lovely & happy dog & the dog seemed to have total faith that this couple was going to get her back to her human. I wish there were more happy endings like this.

Here in the states we see faces blurred out on TV all of the time. Maybe a crime victim or witness who doesn't want to be identified, a "good samaritan" who doesn't want to be recognised & fussed over, all kinds of reasons. I just figured this man had his own reasons for keeping his face hidden & that was cool! You could still tell he WAS emotional, & he had every reason to be. We have 5 dogs ranging from 8 lbs to 100 lbs & all have microchips implanted. We'd be devastated to lose one of our babies too.

It tucked under for 2 seconds when he was trying to stop her go under his legs, it wagged straight after that and it went under when the driver of the car came in, the man with the cane is the owner the other man gave him a lift up, and as mentioned its a flighty dog watch it again :-) 7:05 ♥

It seems like you're dog people but I didn't see any others in your video? What a good heart you two have. It takes time and energy to rescue dogs and you made her owner happy. He should take a marker and write his phone number on her harness. Just in case!

You guys are so wonderful!!! I am a massive animal lover and I always feel for owners who have lost their pets. We have 2 cats and I would be heart broken if anything happened to them or if somebody horrible got their hands on them. Last year 2 dogs were stolen from their owners in the town that I live, I just hope and pray that they were not taken for dog fighting. I cannot stand animal cruelty so I am chuffed to bits that Jess was found by yourself and Lyn.....although I think she looked alot happier with you guys!!!!! Well done xxx

To everyone in the comments that assume this dog wasn’t happy to see her owner... she seems perfectly fine with her owner and her reaction doesn’t seem strange or wrong to me. Every dog is different! I get the same reaction from my dog who now lives with my brother as I moved abroad. I spoil my dog and shower her with love and in return she does the same but it’s always her initial reaction to seeing me again after a long time to be aloof and seem uninterested. After 10 or so minutes she’ll show her excitement and follow me around like a tail waiting for belly rubs, treats and walks.

Third Center Outdoors, she's the perfect example of a dog who is loved, spoiled, and is filled with trust. Her owner raised a lovely & happy dog & the dog seemed to have total faith that this couple was going to get her back to her human. I wish there were more happy endings like this.

Here in the states we see faces blurred out on TV all of the time. Maybe a crime victim or witness who doesn't want to be identified, a "good samaritan" who doesn't want to be recognised & fussed over, all kinds of reasons. I just figured this man had his own reasons for keeping his face hidden & that was cool! You could still tell he WAS emotional, & he had every reason to be. We have 5 dogs ranging from 8 lbs to 100 lbs & all have microchips implanted. We'd be devastated to lose one of our babies too.
Her tail was tucked when he came, no tail wagging? I hope they treat her well. :-/
+anni dee watch it again it was wagging and it jumped up to lick his face. It tucked under for 2 seconds when he was trying to stop her go under his legs, it wagged straight after that and it went under when the driver of the car came in, the man with the cane is the owner the other man gave him a lift up, and as mentioned its a flighty dog watch it again :-) 7:05 ♥

anni dee We could tell although she was flighty which is why we kept the lead on her but we could also tell that she was/is a well loved pampered dog she had a beautiful nature, and yes we love animals Sister and was great having her them few hours :-) Have a great weekend ♥ XXX
