No one is talking about the elephant in the room. For years Spurs have had high coveted players that they refused to sell as Levy want to show he was such a top stubborn negotiator. Guess what? Many players would of seen this. Spurs are not a dream club in any players career, most want to play for Barca or Real or even Bayern, maybe even United. They would see Spurs as a stepping stone, if they succeed they would want that big move, if not they are still at a good club in a great City. Modric, Eriksen and Bale had to force their way out the club. Kane downed tools and Levy still wouldnt sell even for 120m to City. They managed to keep Son and he lost form. They only need to look to Chelsea (forget the Boehly-Clearlake Mess). They sold Courtois and Hazard to Madrid after trying their best to keep them. A 2 years after Hazard left, Chelsea won the UCL. Hazard's career crumbled. This just shows, rather sell when theres no change to keep the player since anything can happen. They reinvested and signed the UCL winner 21yo Havertz for 62m. 3 Years later, he's about to go to Arsenal for the same amount.
Jordan always talks about the bad results like Sheff United. They are poor results but its what the set of players have done for ages. Bad Mentality. He chose to get rid of managers rather than try and overhaul a team of players who have those bad results in them because of seemingly bad mentality. Yes the players and manager are a huge issue in those results but Levy has allowed those players to continue when we have seen what they are. He chose the players they have over trying to overhaul because of money.
Absolutelt 0 chance was he their 1st, 2nd or 3rd target. Hes won in scotland... with celtic ... hes been battered in europe for 2 seasons. No experience at this level of football. Absolutely crazy appointment. From mourinho and conte to pastacog who? Come on its an embarrassing appointment.
Spurs have plenty of money to compete at the very top. The problem is that their ownership is unreasonably tight! The biggest examples in the past 6 months are the 50M joint bid for Maddison and Barnes in addition to only offering 12M for Trossard when Brighton wanted a package that could see them with 27M. This is not like when Arsenal moved into the Emarites and was completely broke, Spurs are in the era of mega money and had spent far more in 4 years than Wenger did in 10 at the Emarites even taking into consideration inflation.
The Maddison and Barnes offer never happened, it was just a rumour. Trossard, yes - no one else was in for him at the time and they made a mistake. How do you know how much the stadium is costing? We have around £150m per season to spend while the stadium is being paid off, and will be much more after. Your point about spending less than Wenger sort of makes sense... but we've spent a lot less than United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal in the past 3 windows. It's all relative. Simon is right though, most of the time the league table ends up being a list of clubs who spend the most on wages, top to bottom. Read soccernomics - great book.
@@davidluxon1911 look at the income they generate for opening their legs for all types of deals like NFL, F1 and essentially being the North London O2 over being a football club. They will have that debt mostly gone in a few years. It's not like they were building a new stadium in the early 2000's.
come on guys. Simon can't accept that fact for 2 reasons. 1. If he agrees that Levy is majorly responsible for spurs failure then he would be indirectly accepting that he was responsible for trash performance of Crystal Palace during his tenure there. 2. But without the right attitude permeating from everyone in the first place they are going to be up against it no matter who they hire as Manager or what players they buy. Postecoglou is a brilliant Manager who will do his utmost to get the players playing for the shirt and themselves.. give everything for themselves, the club, and the fans. I agree that levy is a problem. However / I think the situation would be different if they won the league instead of Leicester (which they should have done) , won the CL final which they could’ve done. Won against bloody Sheffield. Won the final of the cup as well. If spurs won those games, instead of bottling it, I wonder how much of a negative would be around Levy’s name. I do think levy needs to go - but it’s good to be mindful that it’s not all levy’s fault and that people would be changing their tunes if they won those 3/4/5 major trophies in the last 5/6/7 years. That would’ve been 1 trophy per season in the last 5 years - are spurs REALLY more than a 1 trophy a year side? Not sure
Over the last 10 or 15 years as a spurs fan i've found that there is an inverse correlation between predictions by pundits before the season starts and how well Tottenham play during that season
Does Levy have compromising photos of Simon Jordan? Jordan always sticks up for Levy and turns a blind eye to his record in 22 years as the Tottenham chairman.
Graeme is dead right. Levy has wasted having the greatest premier league striker of the last 20 yrs by his atrocious decisions. Nothing changes till Levy goes.
Jordan is wrong on this one unfortunately, if the players have failed for 5 plus years to show they are good enough you don’t extend their contracts you look elsewhere for upgrades and Levy has kept Sanchez, Dier, Winks etc to save money rather than looking to take the next step and improve defensive positions
Dont get how Simon can say they dont have the money to invest, and in the same breath say that Joe Lewis gets no return from investing. They do have the money they just refuse to invest. Tottenham is one of the most profitable clubs in the world. Liverpool won the league and the Champions League, they nearly won the Quad last year and they dont spend the most.
Both guys have a point I do feel at times managers and the players have let Tottenham down massively, however levy is an issue and isn’t ambitious enough to win if he was this circus would’ve been put to bed long ago.
Simon Jordan - entertainly argumentative - but about Spurs he hasnt got a clue - Spurs just dont spend on players - the managers do their frustrated best - and THE FANS SUFFER
Daniel Levy has the worst trophy per season percentage stats of any THFC chairman since World War Two. A statistical fact! And yet Simon Jordan defends him as if he'd won those 7 FA Cups and 2 PL titles the Arsenal have won during Levy's tenure? Perhaps Simon truly believes it was Levy's Tottenham who won those seven Europa League titles, and two Copa del Rey's not Sevilla during Levy's tenure as THFC chairman? Or Perhaps Simon truly believes it was Levy's Tottenham, not Leicester City, who won an FA Cup and the PL TItle in recent seasons, etc, etc??? Therefore, it has to be asked what Simon Jordan's personal motives are for his highly embarrassing ongoing public defense of that total loser of a football chairman called Daniel Levy???
Simon Jordan doesn't like to take ownership or responsibility for his actions and thinks he's exempt of any consequences! Then talks really fast until he is hyperventilating!
Spurs think they are 9 and deserve better managers and players in reality they are not even a 6 on a good day. If you think about the players they have recruited in the last 10-15 years, how many are stand out players? Kane, Son, Bale and Modric? V the likes of Chelsea, City and other top teams it is just a small number. Garbage in = Garbage out
Simon makes some pretty indefensible points for levy. Levy got it wrong when he had the best manager he’s had in 20 years and left him lifeless for the longest period of time in premier league history. Inexcusable

Why does Simon always defend the problem with Tottenham? Levy and Lewis has been the constant in all these barren years. It’s time for ENIC to walk and let another owner have a go.
If the BHA set up was at Hotspur Way they could hold onto the players and build from there rather than sell players to survive. Postecoglou is no magic man but from what I've heard from the guys at Tifo Football, he's definitely a top dog.
Spoken like a true owner. May as well say "I am in charge but nothing is my fault". As the owner you make the decisions
Simon chopping at the bit for an argument. 😂
Firing mourinho right before a final however was all on levy ..... simon seems to forget this fact🙃
Simon says you can’t fault Levy because you can’t blame one man for the structure of the football club but has continuously blamed Moshiri as the only man responsible for Everton’s issues. This man continuously contradicts himself it’s unbelievable.
I think it's different, what he's saying is when Spurs fail in finals and semi finals that can't be Levy's fault. Everton is very different. They're well below where they should be.
Simon Jordan is as sycophantic towards Levy as Neville is to Solskjaer. He's enjoyed Levy's hospitality and hopes to do so again, hence his pathetic defence of Levy.
Gary Neville backed ole as a fan of the club and an ex team mate.. apples and oranges and ole did a good job for a period also
@grassrootsfootball225 I don't recall Solskjaer delivering any silverware, which is surely the point of Manchester Utd? He started well and then fell off dramatically. Neville's defence of Solskjaer made him a laughing stock and shredded his credibility as a pundit.
@@jasongray4517 he took over a club and a group that had hit a brick wall and had lost all sense of direction, the turmoil Jose left the club in was the darkest days I've witnessed at the club, people forget but after going the Jose route it felt like the club was rotten from the inside out and it was.. Overnight Ole lifted us off our feet and had us believing again... The club was restructured behind the scenes and the club appointed it's very first DOF under Ole, a massive change in dynamic that was badly needed.. ultimately oles tenure did not come to fruition but I remember the summer we signed ronaldo under him and the feeling of optimism around the club that we could genuinely mount a challenge, it was the best place the club had been in since the Fergie days... People like to paint oles time as a complete failure, far from the truth.. Neville never said he believed Ole would ever win the league but he backed him like a supporter of the club should do and he had no qaulms when Ole was ultimately sacked... He's also one of the most highly respected pundits in the game with an ever growing reputation
@grassrootsfootball225 Jose won silverware at Old Trafford; Solskjaer won precisely nowt. Put the sentimentality to one side and it's undeniable that Solskjaer failed.
@@jasongray4517 you forget how things went mate.. Jose downed tools and was sacked in the end because he was brought in with the expectation to challenge for the major honours but lost the dressing room and Ole was appointed as a caretaker to clean up his mess but vastly exceeded expectation and earned a contract... And despite the constant tirades from certain fans throughout his entire tenure and the ever present media speculation he was set to be axed, Ole steadied the ship and guided the club to a 3rd followed by a 2nd place finish in his first couple of seasons.. he had the right to try and go one step better in the league but ultimately failed and was sacked just like Jose.. the journey under Ole was as good as its been under any manager since Fergie and Oles time won't be forgotten by all fans mate
Simon likes Levy for the business. Levy for football and winning is a disgrace.
Ten Hag achieved more in 9 months than Spurs have in 22 years on paper that looks impossible but it's a fact
Nearly a billion pounds in debt for the stadium. Doesn't sound a lot if you say it quickly!
@@davidluxon1911 look at the income they generate for opening their legs for all types of deals like NFL, F1 and essentially being the North London O2 over being a football club. They will have that debt mostly gone in a few years. It's not like they were building a new stadium in the early 2000's.
What credit! The guy is useless! So stubborn, the club is moving backwards!
Love Souness. Always looks like he's about to lob a glass of whiskey across the room.
Daniel Levy is the only constant
come on guys. Simon can't accept that fact for 2 reasons.
1. If he agrees that Levy is majorly responsible for spurs failure then he would be indirectly accepting that he was responsible for trash performance of Crystal Palace during his tenure there.
2. Levy is his brother-en from Blue coat club so he will always have a sweet spot for such business minded people.
A lot of people listen to this guy on this channel very respectfully as if he is dispersing some gospel. People have to remember dumb people become rich too with luck on their side. Intelligent != Rich. This guy talks about football when he was involved in the business side of a club. He has no football knowledge. Will you be listening to a wall street employee about what players the clubs should sign or the game side of things. NO. But hey I guess If you create your own show you can spout as much nonsense there.
The most important thing is culture... a winning mentality must exist throughout the club before THFC start winning consistently. Daniel Levy spends enough money to win. Will the players buy in, though? Will the rest of the club buy in... Levy... the ground staff.. the nutritionists... everyone. Postecoglou is THE right person for this job
"When they've done well..." When was that then SJ? Because nothing won in 22 years does not equate to "doing well"!
Same old story everyone to blame but Levy, I wish I add a friend like Jordan every time I messed up.
Simon southern bias is ridiculous 😂 praises a chairman who won nothing and has nothing good to say about city who have dominated for 10 years 🤦♂️

1 League Cup in 22 years is more than Everton trophy cabinet in my eyes.
Real Madrid eh
Not sure
Souness loves coming back to it
Spurs releasing a manager who’s a final expert a week before a final, says it all
Over the last 10 or 15 years as a spurs fan i've found that there is an inverse correlation between predictions by pundits before the season starts and how well Tottenham play during that season
Jack Grealish cost more then 4 or 5 premier league teams
There’s not many blokes in football I love more than Graeme Souness.
100% Sir!
How much does Levy pay Simon. His backing of levy is nauseating
Garbage in = Garbage out
Graham Souness is a legend
levy got rid of mourinho and prevented themselves from the opportunity of a trophy - if that isnt stupidity i dont know what is.
I’ve watched half of the video.
Il come back to it.
Simon makes some pretty indefensible points for levy. Levy got it wrong when he had the best manager he’s had in 20 years and left him lifeless for the longest period of time in premier league history. Inexcusable
Its only Scotland...... Mr Bean would win the treble for Celtic up there
Bring us down then and see how shite we are with proper dough behind us
If Rangers and Celtic got themselves good lawyers I'm sure they could eventually get into the system down south after all we are all part of this so called union the point being there are already Welsh teams in the system there has got to be a way ?

Levy goes through Mangagers like Prince Andrew goes through kids.
If I was a spurs fan I would never of let him carry on after sacking Poch. Proper joke
As Rogers. The owners let Rodgers down no investment.
I’d hate to have levy as an owner
These 3 need to be on air more
Why does Simon always defend the problem with Tottenham? Levy and Lewis has been the constant in all these barren years. It’s time for ENIC to walk and let another owner have a go.
Souness is 100% right Simon is wrong
LEVY DESERVES CREDIT FOR MAKING A LOT OF MANAGERS RICHER!!! BUT NOT TOTTENHAM!!!
If the BHA set up was at Hotspur Way they could hold onto the players and build from there rather than sell players to survive. The Leicester, Southampton and ultimately the BHA model isn’t sustainable. Sourness is right it’s the recruiting and the selection of coaching staff that can help lift the club. Historically Liverpool rose from the then second division to be a powerhouse. It can be done without spending billions.
Spurs won last cup in 2008
Lost finals in 2009, 2015, 2019, 2021
Lost semi in 2012, 2017…
Souness is right, get out Levy we don’t want you
Love how he goes on about a 1/4 final like it’s a final
Jordan pretends he’s not best mates with Leavy but always defends him.
Graeme ‘I’ll come back to it’ Souness
graham signals he's to state the obvious anchor wrapping the neck of Spurs' aspiration at achieving in football... Simon bristles as he comes up with a creative twist to the old tune, "...I can't Quit You! [Daniel]." Went for film quote some may place over song title few likely to recognize as the Levy apologist song and dance. Since Son signing Dembele/Wanyama/Eriksen/Walker/Trippier/Vertonghen/Alderweireld/Bale (again) have gone Lloris due to leave. 3 windows empty of signings got patched over by Poch, the ascendence of Son & Kane, the peaks of Dele/Winks/Dier/Lucas (should all be gone), a stadium, and PR. Missed getting in Grealish, Botman, Dybala, Skriniar, Bastoni, etc quibbling over what amounts to a few quid by scale to spend 5th most on Sissoko/Sanchez/LoCelso/NDombele/Bergwign/Sessegnon/Aurier/Dougherty/Lamela none 1st team worthy or yielding ROI and Hojbjerg/Bentancur/Kulusevski/Romero/Gil/Bissouma/Sarr/Emerson/Richarlison/Spence/Udogie/Porro and possibly Reguilon as the recruits himself will want to convince Kane to re-enlist to lead behind a pound foolish bald project chairman. (sigh)
Simon still on the Levy payroll then
Funny, when Souness left Talksport without anyone knowing why, they handed out the abuse on why he was a rubbish pundit. Then he returns and people realise what he left to do, its all adulation and support. The human race in a nutshell.
It was pretty instantly public all over talksport though 🤔
Levy doesn’t deserve anything he needs to go
Simon Jordan is a Levy apologist 😡
Graeme needs to a regular like keown
Levy must be simons best mate, he continues to give this guy credit when he brings the fans nothing but failure, season after season. Football is for the fans not the amount of currency you generate through it. Only and ex owner of a club would think like this. The fans Simon the fans please remove your head from levy’s you know what!
Yes players did not turn up, but who sold best pkayer Dembele before CL final for a few quid?? Idiot Levy did
Our football side is a joke, buy wrong players at wrong price, can’t even sell players anymore
Souness is right it’s all about recruitment
Souness is correct. The club is run a prat.
What people overlook with spurs is they're the 6th biggest club in the country and thats generally where they operate.
People go on about them like they're fallen giants of English football but they're a hell of a lot better now than they were when i was a kid.
Jordan the Levy apologist is at it again. 🙄🙄🙄
If he waited past January he might have got the Chelsea job ..... Spurs have got a super coach and manager ..... I guarantee it...
