The fact that “Smells Like Teen Spirit” can work in French with a disco & reggae influence is a testament to how great Kurt Cobain’s melodies were. We were playing this cover during our set at SXSW and people kept asking about it so we decided to record it. Here it is.

You took the song, and bend it to make it glue to your world, and that's why your cover is one of the best cover I've ever heard. And by far my favorite.

La versatilité de Smells Like Teens Spirit est just folle. A chaque nouvelle cover je j'écoute c'est une chanson totalement différente, alors qu'à la racine c'est la même.

Absolutely horrifying. Kurt would *not* "love it". Where's the edge? Where's that angst, frustration, disillusionment? Clearly you only saw this song as a melody to pervert into a milquetoast little millenial hand-clapper of a pop tune and completely ignored the pathos of Kurt's poetry.
Hey now. It’s a cover. If we simply repeated the feel of the original what’s the point? And who knows what Kurt would have liked. We don’t pretend to know. Why should you? We do know he had a good sense of humor. So if hearing his song in French gave him even a laugh we’d be satisfied enough. Peace be with you. ✌🏼 Blessed be the fruit. 🍉
