Good luck on your gardening journey! I started many years ago and it is where I find my peace! Good job with getting the plants off the soil - those bugs love to hide underneath things on the soil, wherebb by its damp and cool and close to their food. So when your plants lay on the ground, they love to sleep where the eat so they gather there. My philosophy is that the more free or inexpensive you can do a garden, the more value it has.
I am 3 years new to gardening. You are gonna need longer sticks because your cucumbers will grow big.lowes do have the bigger bamboo sticks you can use. Happy growing
