    Tegucigalpa is chaotic during the day and rush hour but I love its hilly terrain. It's not a city for mass tourists since it lacks "touristy" places; somewhat raw traveling still. Was just there this past October-Nov of 2022 and have visited various times. I'm a fan of Cafe Indio and Cafe Oro as well.. strong with flavor.

    Thank you for giving our city a chance. It's underrated as hell with its beautiful mountains and cool parks (have you visited Juana Lainez and El Picacho?), not to mention nearby towns like Ojojona and Valle de Ángeles. Hope you enjoyed your stay!

      Tegucigalpa was wonderful, I definitely had a good time while I was there. I don’t think I visited any of those places, but I’m hoping to return to Honduras within the next couple years. I’ll will keep them in mind, muchas gracias

      @@victorwoodbury Glad to hear. Whenever you go back, please visit them. El Picacho is the most popular park in the entire DC, but I give props to Juana Lainez and La Leona as well. Park La Concordia is mayan-themed, but has sadly been abandoned by past municipalities. It'll hopefully be restored this year, but you can still go and see the sculptures and stelae, though some aren't in great shape.
      I also suggest paying a visit to those nearby towns I mentioned. Both Ojojona and Valle de Ángeles are like 50 minutes away.

      Condominios La Ronda, a couple blocks away from Central Park. 10/10 would recommend the building and location.

    how safe there in the capital based on u experience?

    • @victorwoodbury
      @victorwoodbury  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It felt like being in any other big city. I was never in any danger or felt genuinely unsafe. There were a handful of situations that made me feel cautious, but it was typical big city experiences that you would see anywhere.

      @@victorwoodbury I agree, the media tends to make sensational claims. some area of nyc just as bad as some area of this capital. thx u for the real experience.

    I lived in Honduras for a few years. I have to say, you rented in a "VERY BAD NEIGHBORHOOD" You're definitely on the poor side of town. You could've rented in Lomas del Guijarro, 15 de Septiembre, etc. They have beautiful condos and homes in areas much safer than the area you stayed in.

    • @victorwoodbury
      @victorwoodbury  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      “Poor” doesn’t mean “bad” to me like it clearly does to you. We obviously have very different values and are looking for very different experiences in life. I really enjoyed the neighborhood and the people who lived there were wonderful, thanks.
