Which Suburb you are living in Melbourne ?one of my bestie is living in Lalor ,he is giving 2000$ for 4 bhk 3 Bath Duplex house,your rent is too much for a 2 BHK 1 bath..
There's a difference between 1500$ and 2000$. The avg price for a 4BHK is 2000$-2200$, also Lalor is away from the CBD as compared to where I live. Adding up 2 bedrooms and bathrooms wouldn't mean that the rent will double itself, so no one is paying more or less.

Anywhere between 1500-2000 AUD per month, but it depends on the location and type of house.
