I really like the vaulting, it makes the game flow so much better than say, BFBC2's movement. Sure if messes up every now and then and catapults to your doom, but nothing's perfect in this world.
it's not that vaulting systems in general are bad it's just that Dice's algorithm for vaulting is buggy. games like operation flash point, ghost recon, Medal of honor all had decent vaulting systems

+Rapi Adam It's what players had to do a long time ago when you couldn't strafe run. It sort of a way to dodge bullets but is really depended on the way the game works. Meaning it's useful in games on the Frostbite engine with client-side hybrid hit registration like BF3 and BF4 as well as games like Planetside 2. Less useful in games like BC2 because server-side hit registration and because your hitbox lags behind you that means you are passing back and forth over your hitbox which in the end makes it easier for the enemy to register shots on you. However if you have less than 30 ping it would still be useful in that game but we never had servers with that low of ping in BC2.

It's been in since the beginning of the game and brought up many times to the devs and various forums. Both DICE Sweden and DICE LA don't seem to care.

I hate vaulting. I’ve had cases where the person vault by takes no damage while the animation is playing, even though you can see the shots connecting. It sucks.
Happens all the time on. I would go the route of SWBF and just make normal jumping a thing again. Hell in BC2 there was no prone and no vaulting and all the maps were designed around using crouch to hide behind cover with normal jumping to get over things and it made for great gameplay.
it happens on xbox one. It used to be a problem in BF3 where you would vault over something and it would show the mechanic but you'd remain on the same side. It happens every now and then on BF4 for me
