    Any brokerage companies you've worked for that would be at the top of the list? Let me know in the comments - thanks for watching!

    Do you have a video talking about the differences or pros/cons between Capital Markets and Investment Sales routes within brokerage? If not it would be great to see a video about that!

    For someone without a degree or experience should they go into the commercial side right away?
    Even more, will brokers hire people like that?

    How about a video on how to find a quality commercial real estate agent for those of us investors who are still getting established? What should we look for? How will we know if the person has the skills to get the best deal available?
    It seems like there is a wide bell curve on agent ability, but there must be things to make the search process easier.

    Hi Justin. Great video as usual. Question, what’s the typical commission split for a broker leasing 3rd party properties and for a tenant-rep broker in the Miami, FL area? Thanks!

    Great video-- thanks for making this. I am glad I found this side of your channel. I was previously only aware of your videos on development. Now that I am considering brokerage, these videos are really helpful!

    Could someone explain the consultancy side of Altus Group? Is that more of a brokerage or a consultant to the brokers/principals?

    Hi Justin, thanks for the video. I'd like to seek some advice from you. I am currently doing Office Leasing in a UK brokerage firm in Hong Kong. It's pretty much a sales / agency job without much technical training (e.g. valuation). I want to move to Real Estate Investment. What do you think I should do to make the career change?
    p.s. I am a fresh graduate (Class 2020) with a business bachelor degree. I looked up on linkedIn and found that in Hong Kong, most analysts in real estate investment firms (e.g. BlackRock, Carlyle) came from investment banking. Seems that it's unlikely that I can break into investments directly from the current agency job. I am also thinking about taking real estate valuation courses but it seems that those PE firms in Hong Kong prefer candidates from investment banking with top degree and perfect grades. Should I start all over beginning with applying for a master program? Or do you think I should stay on the agency job and do networking at the same time to make the career change?

    Hi Justin, are you talking about analyst jobs or brokers (licensed) jobs ? Or a mix of both?

    • @BreakIntoCRE
      @BreakIntoCRE  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Samir, I'm talking about analyst/associate jobs at a real estate brokerage. These would be the jobs supporting the "producers" - creating broker opinion of value documents, offering memorandums, and doing valuations for clients. So kind of a mix of both - usually this is a 2-4 year role, and then you move into full production (sales) from there.
