⚜⚜⚜I highly resonate with piles 3 and 4. I've HAD to learn to do many things in my life; because life has thrown so many challenges my way; but also; because nobody else in my life has helped me much. I've been on my own, traveled, faced down attackers, nearly died, was homeless for many years, was a foster kid, and on and on.
Now a days, I'm also striving to build many things... not just the mundane things; but HUGE dreams. But you can't live those dreams, if you let the mundane things go and overgrow, blocking your path. So, I've had to learn how to FOCUS quickly for a given block of time; but also how to take care of other things that may be needed to be addressed in the background. Sometimes I laser focus; and NOTHING ELSE enters my awareness; and others, I juggle many things. No matter what, though... I make sure that I am recharged on a daily basis; because you can't continue to manage the mundane stuff; when you are weary. I plan things meticulously; but I also have a very intuitive, spontaneous streak. My secret is learning to fuse FLOW and STRUCTURE; and when to lean more on one side than the other.
My other secret is that I reflect on what works and what doesn't on a daily basis AT LEAST. I design systems and routines that work for me; that help me to address and not forget important things. I set up routines of sets of habits that naturally follow after one another. This creates a kind of easy flow. I also practice using a concept in PROJECT MANAGEMENT, where I LAYER ACTIVITIES. There are activities that you can start, put on a timer; and then go do something else. So, for instance, MUNG BEANS, sprout in water after a few days. The washer takes about 10-15 minutes and the dryer takes about 70 minutes. Recharging the phone takes something like 45 minutes. Transferring a batch of files (on average 5-8) of videos from my phone to my terabyte drive takes anywhere from 3 minutes to 10 minutes... depending on those file sizes which reflect how LONG each video is given a certain format. That last example allows me to start a batch of files, then continue watching what I'm watching; and then come back for another batch. Sitting there getting frustrated because things may take time to upload, download, transfer... or whatever else no longer makes sense to me. This can actually be an advantage; because you don't have to switch focus too quickly back and forth. So, I practice NESTING GESTATION CYCLES. Ah... that sounds a little strange... I practice NESTING ACTIVITIES THAT CAN BE SET TO AUTOMATIC. This allows me to take care of 20 or 40 or a 100 things throughout the day rather easily. Rather than be super frazzled and confused. I use timers and reminders for somethings, lists for others, piles for others, and just have figured out how to support my own way of living life. I know that I don't like to feel hurried; so I figured out a way to fit more activities into the same space of time. Since I don't have a team of elves on the payroll, or willing to volunteer... I've needed to use my creativity to conquer many challenges in my life. So, this isn't magick. I'm not super fast all the time... I'm just working smarter. Anyone can do it.
