Imagine that the end of Halo is that Ancient Humans appear and aid the UNSC in defeating the Covenant entirely. Given that the Ancient Humans were last known to have fought both the Forerunners and the Flood. OR all active UNSC forces that we know of coming together in a giant war era of the series. Think of the attack on the Covie landing zone in Halo Reach but much grander. Its possibly cannon that Halo Wars and the Halo games are now in line as it seems like at the end of Halo Wars 2 that the researcher meets a Forerunner machine, the same ones that Cortana was using in Halo 5. It would be cool to see all of the different story lines mesh into one. Like the UNSC Spirit of Fire is basically dead in the main games but it is the main vessel in Halo Wars.
