Its hard to tell because they all technically were on something when they saw her. Emily was knocked out, Hannah was on medication, Spencer had painkillers, and Aria had some of that tea.But at the same time theres evidence she was there.
This show had so much lore and supernatural mysteries in the earlier seasons. Just so much edge. It was all just thrown out the window from season 4 onwards.
I knew Alison was alive on the episode when she visited Spencer. Out of all the visitations that she did that seemed the most real and the door was left opened the following morning. I'm sure that was a clue
This show was literally lightning in a bottle during its early seasons! Everything about it just clicked, and the mystery aspect of the show was so much fun! In the first three seasons, I relished every single flashback or “visit” from Alison bc she was such an intriguing character and Sasha IS Alison Dilaurentis! She was so enigmatic and everything she said was mesmerizing, as if she were speaking in riddles that needed deciphering. I remember when they started to hint that Ali was actually still alive that I would love it bc I hated to think such a mysterious and engaging character was truly dead. Sadly, the show changed its storylines and the direction it wanted to take the story so many times that these early moments with Alison are still just as mysterious as they were when they aired bc they never amounted to anything. The same can be said with Alison’s character, they stripped her of almost ever ounce of charisma and confidence that made Alison so interesting to watch. There are times that I wish that she had remained purely in flashbacks, bc she lost all that power, allure, and ability to affect peoples lives in so many different emotional and psychological ways once she returned. If they weren’t going to fully commit to her being A or a villain in general, they should have allowed her to remain the “boogeyman” of Rosewood and hold onto the immortality she longed for in life and to always remain the alluring missing girl in the painting, just like she admitted to wanting in Spencer’s film noir dream.
That so true if you think about if Alison did have a twin who was A the girls would never have seen what kinda person Ali really was. It would have made her an interesting character.

She didn't want Emily to die if she told her because "Emily was always her favourite". How is it that she comes to Spencer's and Aria's house, Hanna's hospital and that barn for Emily without anyone seeing her? When Hannah goes to find Toby , she sees red coat (Alison's ghost) running inside the building, Emily runs inside too but finds Toby's work colleague and people working inside there. Even Spencer goes like, 'Where did she disappear, how is that possible?" (3) In the Halloween episode, when the liars see Alison, she suddenly disappears (again) when Ezra appears. Here is what I think Alli never died in the beginning but she was buried alive by someone in season 3 and was pulled out by the lady and she has been alive ever since being cloaked as redcoat and the Halloween Special finally revealed that she is alive
Alive cuz I saw season 6 and she gained more pounds but she's still pretty.
It's cause Sasha is suffering from some disorder that makes her gain weight. Hopefully she stays strong

What does Allison mean when she said to Aria "you know why I picked you right?" I think that Aria is part of the A team. Also in one of the scene endings, they show a doll house with all the dolls, Allison is seasted on top and there are four dolls on another level, 3 of them are wearing normal cloths and Aria's doll is wearing jeans and a black hoodie!
