I can totally relate to what you've said in this video ! I met so many amazing people since I started my own channel. People I would've never met otherwise and now they're my best friends ^_^ I can share with them a lot of things and they understand my craziness about books, reading, fangirling about fictional characters and stuff like that !
Which is absolutely magical to me because like you, I used to have friends who didn't share my love of books and I still love them but it's not the same.
Being friends with other people who share your passions (obsessions :P ) is a whole different thing ! Today, I can't imagine my life without my booktuber friends.
TH-cam also gave me the opportunity to discover amazing people like yourself, so thank you Regan for being who you are and please continue to be such a ray of sunshine !

It's really the friendships that I'm most excited about when I started my BookTube channel literally a few days ago. Since I've always been around people who don't read, I've always wanted to immerse myself in a world where I get to talk about that things that I love and meet lovely people who are equally so. It was also BookTubers like you, Regan, and JesseTheReader and abookutopia that made me gain the courage to put myself out there in a forum like this. BookTube is one of the most amazing communities I get to view. It's literally family. And just watching this and seeing how much you've accomplished is truly such an inspiration to me, and it's going to be a long road ahead. So thank you, Regan. I'm new to booktube, just found it the start of January but it seems like an amazing community! It's inspired me to start doing some book related videos on my channel to and get back into reading (has been a long time!)

I love booktube! and I always use you're book recommendations (for example I got my sister the nightingale, my mom got me three dark crowns, the mistborn trilogy and these are just the one from christmas) and i have not been disappointed ever. I have read so many books based on your recommendations (and sometimes I'll read one that you just show off in a haul). And even though I don't always agree with your opinions about them, it's introduced me to so many new authors and genres. I had hardly read any high fantasy at all until I read the Seven Realms series after I saw you talking about them, and since then I just want to read all of the high fantasy all the time! So thanks for sharing your thoughts about the stuff you love and keep it up! :D

I have been watching booktube a few months now. I love to read I always have, but I haven't been able to in years because of headaches. last year I finally was able to read with headaches! I don't know anyone who reads like me, so I am looking forward to making some book friends of my own. your one of my favorite people so far on booktube you sound like a real person I would know! keep it up your doing a great job!!!

I live in Norway and sometimes I feel a little isolated because I read in English. But booktube has let me come in contact with others who read the same books as me and I'm able to discuss with others even though I don't even upload things myself, and I'm so grateful. It always sounds like Americans are always meeting their friends and going to events and conventions, and that makes it easy to forget just how big the country is. Actually booktube makes the world seem so much smaller because I've talked to so many different people. It's a lot of fun and I appreciate the community so much
Same thing with me. I live in Greece and I rarely find someone that reads the same books with me. When I discovered booktube I was so happy that there was a whole community of people so passionate about books that you could talk to.
marislung do they have book events in Norway? I live in the netherlands and we are starting to get book events. and i can relate to that problem. booktube is just great C:
Emma L. There are no book conventions as far as I know. There are a few fandom conventions around the country and I'm pretty sure they're all multifandom, i.e they're for every kind of "nerdy" interests. Other than that there's probably release events, author signings and stuff at bookstores but I'm pretty sure most of them involve adult contemporary books. There's no events for Middle-grade/YA/Sci-fi/Fantasy and that kind of thing as far as I know. If there are they're probably very small events hosted by small fandom/nerdy stores.
