I've never listened to much hip hop, and never do nowadays, but Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are one of the few exceptions. I remember singing "1st of Tha month" while riding my bike when I was kid. My suburban ass had no idea why they were so excited for the month to change. I just thought they loved flipping calendars.
I, of course, can only speak for myself, but as a person born in 1980, that came “of age” when BT&H were changing the world in so many ways, this is a super tribute. The kind of satire that true fans are capable of and no one else ;)
Best episode this season, new cats finally getting into Grove, older cats like Chris Redd doing more than just these songs (which he does really well).
I discovered this group last year thanks to a SNL song and loved the song, in my country it was literally never played so I would have continued to miss it without that sketch, and now this new sketch. Appreciate the love for BTnH on the set.
