I've reach lvl70 on this game and you are exactly on point it's really hard to max out a character as a f2p you get stuck on this game easily if you don't manage your characters or buy energy and by buying energy you are using currency use for pulling characters I would still play this when global comes while waiting for hsr release
yeah i kinda figured that would be the case when i saw how the game is structured, this is one of those games where f2p has to choose very wisely. having a whole team of 5 stars would take several months for f2p to max out- and by the time you did that, you'd probably replace one unit who been powercreeped or you got them ascended but your gear is trash since you haven't been farming any gear since you been too busy farming ascension mats. so its more advised to focus on lower rarities and pull for a 5 star that has longevity that can carry you. i've played plenty of games like this unfortunately. Between this and Honkai: star rail my hype has died down for both games considerably since Star Rail won't have any universal LB system and dupes matter so f2p will stick to 1 5 star carry and rest 4 stars ;_;
Fascinating... the devs managed to take so many negative aspects of Eminence in Shadow into their own game. I tried to like Eminence because I liked the anime but ended up quitting because it felt like I was being punished for playing. Meanwhile this game has nothing else to carry it other than combat mechanics. You save me from even giving it a try.
Welcome. I have another creator friend who gave up on the game facing the issues I put here after hitting a much higher level cap. I think level 80 or so.
Thanks for the info about the grind most of all because I'm already juggling Genshin impact, Valiant force 2 and other singleplayer games and I'm looking for a game that I can casually do this might be a bit much but i'll try it regardless
i played this game on alpha many months ago. we did not have any problem with stamina, were rewarded with so many refills it felt overkill. guess they took feedback and turned it into hell
Didn't need the review other than the part where you can't really see what the heroes do before summoning them, needed to confirm that. I've been playing the soft launch since the 5th day, completed the event boxes until the last 10, managed to get the Screamer costume. The wait for Stamina is worse than Genshin Impact somehow cause the resources that you can gather for each that you get is less universal and coming back every 6 hours give me Raid: Shadow Legends vibes. Fun to check out but I heavily recommend not spending any money at all for the time being. Substantial review!
These issues really kills my excitement for the game… but I’ll still try it out since they’ll collab with my favourite vtubers. Do you think these issues will be resolved when the game is released? Thank you for the insight, I appreciate it a lot!!💕
If they don't change all those things stamina wise asap this game wont last long , events should be rewarding and not punishing , so in order to grab some cool items u need to stop everything that's some big "fuck u give me money" to the players that are "F2P"
oh my god 6 minutes For 1 Stamina, 12 or even more stamina / stages, it is hard to get Stamina potion, it is so hard to Ascend a character. This game Dead Alresdy to me.
Maybe because it's a soft launch, the stamina consumption is high because the soft launch accounts will be carried over to Global. So they don't want soft launch players to rush the game
The whale feast shall begin shortly. Time to start pulling credit cards and have them ready. Maybe they'll change the stamina consumption. I've seen games change theirs shortly after they've launched before.
Sadge. Don't forget also that the soft launch will be limited to one server not unlike Dislyte. So if you start early you are going to be 'penalized' with a much smaller population count. It burned up a lot of my hype for it.
Well, as a dolphin, guess this means I'm not putting a single cent on the game. Ita a pity. Why did it not want to do ots own thing apart from star rail? I'm guessing it's like you said, they want to get the bag before that one launches, but I ain't investing in a game that obviously will kill itself before even a year goes by.
When I start a new gacha game I tend to compare it to Arknights because I feel like Arknights is like the golden standard for F2P players when it comes to being a good gacha game
Will try it, but you and uchi gaming, both are maing me think these game wont last long, but will try it because like the character design, also after neural cloud and eversoul, i see two games that have problems, but those games are really good and allow you to progress, the more i see these gae the less and less like
About the first issues you mentioned, I feel like Path to Nowhere is way worst in this aspect, and the game pace is pretty ok within months of release. I mean yeah it's pretty tough to max characters but it's not like you need to max too many or they even releasing too many... It has to be in balance and I hope Higan manages that.
That sounds terrible, i hope it's not the future of mobile gaming heh, just another example of a game sacrificing everything, lore, gameplay, fun, originality, everything, just for graphic appeal with a predator stamina and gacha system
I played the soft launch. The worst aspect is the stingy timers for battles. Some boss fights only give you 90 seconds or left, and since the bosses spam knockdown and stun, even with a top tier team, you will lose to the clock over and over. I finally gave up after about 2 weeks. I spent about $20 and I regret it. Stamina is horrible and even paying, you can't recover it any faster. This game won't last once SR launches. I'm glad I played soft launch because it showed me I need to avoid this game. Bili is a horrible developer anyway, just look at BA and AG. Both are dead and abandoned.
Well i heard the video and uchi video and maybe yes, i admit is a disaster, the problem is i am comparing them to neural cloud and eversoul games that you can progress, fast and actually aquire a lot of resources, i think when i heard your video and uchi i realize, is another gatcha game, nothing you said, as someone that before two years ago play pc games and retro games, nothing you said is outside a normal gatcha, i mean is full of crap, but Nikke is a shitty game and people play it, genshin impact is boring as hell and yet have its beauty but still a boring shit because it try to be breath of the wild it have a better combat but that is it, and now star rail another turn combat and yet people want it. I think well i mean thanks for the work, i will go to these game once again thinking is a gatcha game, wich evesoul and neural cloud make me think maybe, just maybe gatcha mobile games can evolve, since now they want to dethrone genshin and only way to do that is accpe toyu need free players so they can give you free publicity and be the product, but i can see mobile games wont change any time soon
Genshin IS the change, we just need something better; Higan: Eruthyll ain't it. It laid the foundation for console players to flood in and it was many's first ever gacha game; it should be built upon, not shat on. Breath of the Wild did not invent grass, Shadow of Colossus did. Also, BotW does not have the Elemental Reaction system nor does it have the Team Swap/Team Synergy mechanic so, they're both COMPLETELY different games. That said, I'd try any turn-based game like Honkai: Star Rail because I don't judge a game by an entire genre and as long as it's not shit like Pokemon, it's fine by my book. Neural Cloud is chibi bait and switch and Eversoul have shit music and dying King's Raid story-telling animation.
@@Qwertzalcoatl Yes i know, beleive me neural cloud chibi i was bother but after a while, seen is one of the few games that allow me to progress wiouth spending, i accpet it and Eversoul music is bothersom but like nerual i dont need to wait an eternity, and true now that you mention, and i actually analize it, it is true the idea of basicly open world sandbox, was lay by shadow of the colossus, mi, to think that game literaly push the sistem to the limit and manage to create amaizing giants that feel real and make you quesiton youself wiouth a word, yes the combat in genshin is much better than breath of the wild, but i paly it and play it and i didint endure a week, i realize that if you dont love exploration game that are focus in that you wont pass, star rail i dont know, it looks good but why have to be turn base i for eample Arknigths is an amaizing game that you can win and even beat the hardest challenge as free to play but for me tower defense i never could penetrate tower defense, is a good game, Honkai is an amaizing game i hope they continue supporting it after star rail, but well lets see what happen, but you are rigth the game that invent that genrse was shadow of the colossus, mi an amaizing game
@@Krysnha Yeah, GI's exploration can be bit much. I didn't say it's better than BotW, just different. For the most part, my problems with Eversoul, Arknights and Neural Cloud are mostly subjective and tbh, they're kinda good, just not my cup of tea. Star Rail should be whatever genre it is cause Hoyoverse is trying to cater to fans of different genres seeing that Impact 3rd is akin to Devil May Cry, GI is casual exploration and Zenless Zone Zero looks like a tag team beat 'em up. I think it's a smart move but I don't think that you should play it if you're not a fan of the classic turn-based RPG genre altogether. Not all games are made for everyone and that's okay.
@@Qwertzalcoatl Thanks nice to heard that, in today because you said i dont try genshin or arknigths or these because not fan of the genre and is like you said something impossible,
Some people need a leash to feel competitive. The stamina system may not be meant to limit your gameplay but to limit others so that you get that edge by whaling
this is unfortunate......i wanted to give it a try but what you said makes me not want to......along with it being bilibili as well. Guess Ill wait for millenium elf....which is also bilibili....but hopefully they will be better
So i really shouldn't bother with this as a f2p. Why companies have to be utterly predatory is beyond me. Shows there must be a massive amount of stupid people with money.
Thanks for the heads up. I was going to just treat this as a casual side game, but long dailies kills that for me personally.

Dead at arrival, will be fun to play for 10 hours or so then I'll drop it

They finally fixed the hero stats visibility in the gacha… rookie devs
The game killed itself even before launch
Many gatcha games kill themself, before launching, i will still try it, but another game i wont be going optimistic, is a pity
they make surveys on event and overall game..i'm gonna show my dissatisfaction on the survey
Thank you for this video bro. You earned a subscription
This game is a perfect example of pretty on the outside, hollow on the inside lol
Revamping all of these would be like making a whole new game...
The only way is up from here kek
Does it have pvp with friends?
Not that I’m aware of no
Im gonna play but its gonna be on the backburner of things to play. Have not been hearing good things.
Dislyte started as f2p friendly then they deliberately made PvE harder. I would give a try for higan eruthyll global
These issues really kills my excitement for the game… but I’ll still try it out since they’ll collab with my favourite vtubers. Do you think these issues will be resolved when the game is released? Thank you for the insight, I appreciate it a lot!!💕
One thing was fixed since: you can finally see character stats and skills in the gacha

I don't think that's ever happened, the stamina issue is there to stay like many other failed gachas, true greedy scheme
It's because Bili is one of the worst developer companies in the industry. All their other gachas are dead.
This soft launch server stays even on release and there will be a separate global server. So there's very little reason to gate players this way now
Well stamina still sucks.
The whale feast shall begin shortly. Time to start pulling credit cards and have them ready.
Maybe they'll change the stamina consumption. I've seen games change theirs shortly after they've launched before.
every game has a point when paywall comes and stop progress for a while for f2ps
true but this seems especially bad. did you even watch the video? or did you just scroll down and comment
Azur Lane does not
Every game has to be auto. I hate it so much.
Epic 7 doesn't..
Thank you!
Did yu done with dyslite ?
no way lol. Dislyte is one of the better gachas in the market now
@@DaddyF2P Yeah, it just oozes style.

Yup yup but the "investments" get rebated if you start over in the global server. Or at least I think that's how it works
Basically same as artifact farming for genshin

If it's this bad at launch then that just means I play till honkai star rail releases then drop xD
Same for me… I’m just gonna use this as a warm up to hsr

Lv50 ascend is absolutely disgusting, i cant imagine how's Lv70 ascend, i only keep playing just because I like Kueen 😑
Never join a gacha game as it launches... wait for it to improve calibration
uninstalled the game thanks alot for testing it out . oh boy i will not spend that much time on 1 content with a stamina drain aint no way
You should say
Hey pay to play gangs instead of Free to play gangs
Doesn't seem like a game ill play
Yooo
any games that comes a wall to break thru = dead game

I'm sorry I dislike the gameplay and the combat. I don't know why it has to be auto mechanic or autoplay. I love to move my characters. What a waste.
Another new game???????
No more. I'll be going AFK 2 as one of Lilith content creators
