Gaboon Adder and Gaboon Viper is EXACTLY the same thing. In some regions it's called an adder and in others a viper. I'm from Africa, so the correct term to use in my area is adder.
I caught on in Zambia (ex Northern Rhodesia) when I was 13. Absolutely beautiful animal, and for an adder mine was fairly docile. Of course I never handled her like a "pet". She loved rats and would take 2 or sometimes 3 in one "sitting". Had her for about a year, then released her back into the wild. Snakes were extremely common (on the copperbelt) and hardly a week would pass before we had some exotic monster in the garden - even had a rock python visit us on one occasion.
how cool is that. No snake in the worls is beautiful as the vest african Gaboon Viper. Breed them and take care of them due to in africa they are almost gone. People down there dont care so this snake is very rare to find in the wild.
I'm afraid you are the only dumb person here. Adders and Vipers are the same thing, they are just called differently depending on your location and since I'm from South Africa adder is the correct term. Please educate yourself before handing out the insults.

This is a gorgeous snake! Even though I adore quails, snakes gotta eat.
Jewels CHANNEL quails are good for food and that's it...
