I ran a W900 straight piped for my buddy then got my brand new Pete 389 18sp Company Truck for local runs. Loved driving but I had a Stroke & that put me out of the game. After going through 10 months of College Credited CDL Training, 6 days a week & 10hrs a day. I lost my CDL A X endorsement, with HazMat, Doubles, Triples, Over Size Load Qualified, etc. Can't get it back without passing the physical & taking the course all over again. Living off $2k a month on SSI/DI sux.
Sounds beautiful. Straight piped it has the same characteristic of a 6nz c15 cat - at the right moment it'll get a little rap to the exhaust note to let you know when to shift, like right around 8:13
Don't be too hard on yourself when making content, when it comes to something like this all you can ask for is the raw footage because nothing beats hearing pure engine and turbo noises, and your a smooth operator btw💯

Now, I have a video request: I'd love it if you could do 3-4 hour ASMR videos on your truck, even if you have to merge some clips together! Please begin each ASMR video with engine startup, shift at high RPM's so I can hear that ISX singing at the top of its lungs, and end the ASMR videos with engine shutdown. ASMR videos help me fall asleep at night, and I'd love a ton of 3-4 hour ASMR videos on a straight piped ISX! Please let me know ASAP.
I'm wondering the same thing!! I'm not yet a truck driver but it's my next goal to achieve. May I ask you where you shouldn't go with a straight piped truck to avoid any DOT problem ?

Probably one of the BEST views of the hood on TH-cam.. Every video is either from a Gopro on the head or to far zoomed in.. but this one gets a beautiful view of that perfect straight hood and one Gear jamming hot rod Cumalong
As long as I'm not pulling in the mountains and keep my foot calm, I can stay between 5.5mpg 6.5mpg. And that's calculated the old fashioned way, miles ran vs gallons put on. I just deadheaded home from Milwaukee, WI to Dallas and the numbers on the display say 8.6mpg on 1009mi. I believe it will be closer to 8mpg.

How do you strait pipe a emissions truck? Was it expensive ?
Got to remove emissions and retune.. its hard to find someone who has a good tune though.

@@KoolBreeze i got a 550, 2013. 8 mpg empty no trailer is unobtainium for me. Fucking hate emissions equipment.
Great sound but CAT 3406 Detriot Diesel Series 60 and Cummins N14 Celect Plus are still better sound than Isx.
