    Hey, everyone! PSA - You are supposed to ignite the JetBoil before you put the container of water on it! My apologies. Somehow I missed doing that for filming purposes.

    My wife got me a Jetboil Flash for Christmas. I was generally happy with my MSR Pocket Rocket, but I cheerfully accepted the new stove. Taken it on two trips now including a recent seven day hike on the West Coast Trail (British Columbia, Canada). Definitely agree with your review. For those needing just boiled water for their backcountry dining needs the Jetboil works out great.

    I have two jetboil flashes, when I use for camping and hiking which has served me very well. And I'm an over-the-road truck driver and sometimes I get stuck in areas where I do not have food or able to get my morning coffee. In which I keep dehydrated meals on my truck, and when I need to I have the jet boil flash. It has become a lifesaver on several circumstances. I absolutely love it

    We usually order our Fuel canisters, including ThermaCell canisters through Amazon to deliver to our hotel or lodge where we are arriving for our hunt or a local address at the Post Office in the city we land in just to make sure we have them. We have been left high and dry, especially in small po-dunk towns not being able to find them. Great review. We don’t have this brand but have contemplated purchasing the JetBoil brand. Thanks for the review.

    I have this stove and agree with all your comments. If you are looking to do more than just boiler water or rehydrate food then Jetboil sell the pot support (about £19.00 Sterling in the UK so probably a similar figure in dollars in the US). It allows you to cook proper meals with any saucepan or pot. The only issue is there is very little adjustement range in the flame power when turning the valve so can be difficult to make minor adjustments to the level of heat. The Jetboil Minimo does have the proper regulator built-into the valve which makes fine adjustments easier. Also, I love the coffee press you can get for the Flash to make propoer coffee

    Jetboil recommend lighting the stove first, then adding the pot once the stove is lit. (No Poof)
    Ideal for boil in the bag ration pack pre cooked meal, with water remaining to make a hot drink.
    For any soloist who just wants hot water for a freeze dried meal, then this would be over kill, and a 500ml pot and BRS stove would be a better alternative. However I use my Jetboil most camps, with ration packs, and I bought the coffee press also....

    Have you figured out how many boils you can get out of the small canister? Jetboil has always intrigued me, but we don’t backpack enough anymore to need the compact/lightweight stove. I used to lug a Peak 1 stove on our hikes.

    • @ReviewThisThing
      @ReviewThisThing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, it has a 1 Liter capacity, which you obviously wouldn't want to fill it up and then boil it. You may be able to boil 3, but I'd try it out in a safe place first before I took it out in the wild to try :D

    The burning of the handle and the neoprene off - is due to cooking or using it longer periods than a few minutes.

    • @ReviewThisThing

    Love my jet boil. At home I put water in the electric kettle press the switch in a couple of minutes I have water hot water for my tea or coffee, this thing is the gas equivalent that you can take out doors camping or whatever as long as you only want it for simple fast hot boiled water tasks then it is an absolute no brainer. Not great for cooking as it is either off or full on there is no graduating the heat on this model.
