    I have many of peter Underwood's books, he was a fascinating man and his theories were well though out. He will be sadly missed by all interested in the real paranormal field.

    A marvellous desert island disc interview. A man to trust, not like the paranormal programs today of which too many are are full of sensation, show and nonsense. A serious investigator who strived to understand the facts and the truth of what was happening. Cap off to Mr. Underwood!

    Thank you so much for uploading this. I had his ghosthunting handbook as a boy in the 70's and would scare myself silly at night reading the "true stories". I always wondered what he would sound like.

      Very pleased to hear from another reader of 'The Ghosthunter's Handbook'; interestingly, the book that this interview was recorded in conjunction with the publication of - the Guidebook - developed as a more serious version of the Handbook.
      Glad to know this brought back some memories. Shame
      Peter didn't get the opportunity to record his own audiobook - it's quite likely that he would have enjoyed it.

    The first book I bought on ghosts was Peter's Haunted London. This was back in the 1970's. Peter helped fuel my interest in ghosts and now I write monthly articles on them for Psychic News magazine.

    Do you have any more :-)
    recordings/interviews, I adored Peter & his books xxx & what part of Hampshire did Peter live ??

    • @PeterUnderwood1923
      @PeterUnderwood1923  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He lived in Bentley (for the exact location of the property, see this map link: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1l2oSivAxg0glU1htRW2sjj611D8&ll=51.17862921067012%2C-0.8447723886285985&z=12).
      One thing that has yet to be digitized is the film negative for a 1966 40 minute French documentary that featured Peter and has the title 'Curieuse Angleterre'. The BFI expressed interest in acquiring the item from Peter in 2013, but more recent efforts to continue the existing correspondence - or perhaps sustain the interest in acquring it - have failed. But it's worth looking into once more.
