Japanese comics are quite popularizing in here too(india) as a manga reader of horror lover .i really like junji ito sir's works they are in peak of horror genre.
What is a better translation? I've been looking it up and it seems like an acceptable translation. Genkai appears to mean something like outskirts, edges of a town, border. A liminal space in the real world is more or less the same thing, where a town begins to fade into industrial and forest areas.
@@DenkyManner it could’ve been a number of more straightforward translations. a translator would really have to be reaching to pick ‘liminal’ out of all of them.

I thought ito junji in 'ito junji collection' means maybe horror stories collection and here i found it is the manga artist's name😂❤

‘Liminal Zone’ is a really butchered translation. i’m guessing it’s just to capitalise on the liminal space trend.

I interpreted it more as a knockoff of the twilight zone since that is also a collection of tales
