Great video ! Here's a recap for everyone : - Define your service (what do you specifically offer ? What more can you bring to the client that will help them grow) - Find your niche (it takes time and a lot of work beforehand) - Develop a pricing structure (based on experience, location, complexity, urgency, scale etc…) - Develop a portfolio (if you don’t have any, use fake clients websites to have something to show) - Use a system (important for crm, paperwork in general ⇒ Bonsai works well for this) - Nurture clients relationships (be honest with them, make good work with fair price that you could scale in the long run. Also ask for referrals) - Learn new skills (be polyvalent in your field which will make you desirable for clients and will allow to increase your prices)
Great video. Had to learn all the tips through the years. "Be Honest" is one of the best tips. Also never let your clients ask for updates. Always give them updates before they ask, it will improve the trust.
Greetings from Ukraine dear Arnau Ros ! Thank you for your work, I am just starting to learn webflow and want to become a freelancer. You helped me very much to decide, and at the same time to learn English. cheers!
And once again I've been nurished with such inspiring and educational Arnau Ros channel)) So beneficial! Many great beneficial returns to you my dear sensei Arnau))
Hi Arnau. Thank you for your insight. The thing I really struggle with is that everyone tells you to find your niche and define your service but at the same time everyone tells you to enhance your skills and be able to do more. The more you can do, the better. So I battle with, well, am I an illustrator, an animator, a graphic designer, a website designer or developer or am I all of these things? Do I learn Figma and Adobe XD as well as Creative Suite? And so on. Does 'find your niche' mean a category ie 'financial or FMCG etc' or website or brochures or brand identity or is my niche a skill niche like brochures and CI? I feel like what you specifically offer is not everything but maybe a couple things you do really professionally. Maybe it means find a specific sector and offer all disciplines to that sector? Help!
hey arnau, i really loved this video - its the most up to date and simple I've come across. I'm currently working as a contractor at a startup and slowly becoming unmotivated and uncreative in design since I've been trying to leverage my personal projects and self taught skills in my work. I've been very interested in doing freelance to give me freedom in my schedule but mostly to work with all different clients and projects. would you have any advice in general but also speaking to my situation? i feel I'm not progressing in my current role although I'm gaining experience. I've been considering taking the Google UX Design certificate as I ultimately want to become a rounded product designer. I just subscribed and hope to grow from your advice and videos. 🖖
Are you struggling with any of these steps? 👇

Liked before I watched🙏🔥
Can you make a video of creating a system using Bonsai and an example of how you use it?
Take a look at my bonsai playlist!
Bro can you make a video on choosing between Web Design and Product design?
Good idea.
Thank you so much for your video! Really useful!
Glad it was helpful!

Great video
I wish I had seen this video when I started freelancing!
Am I the only one not hearing his vocals properly ? I hear the base sound more than the voice.
