    Thanks for another clear video!
    I personally use the Traveler 5cx with my Panasonic G9 setup. It works perfect for travel, especially since it is so lightweight and compact. I chose the 5cx over the 5c, as the 5cx provides a ball head where rotation and the ballhead can be controlled separately, whereas that is not possible with the 5c.
    To increase stability, I use a carbine hook so that my camera bag can be hung below the tripod. I've found that the tripod can easily hold more than Sirui states and that it is quite stable once the bag is below the tripod.

    I just bought the Sirui 7C traveler and am learning how to use it. I love the weight and sturdiness of it with my Canon EOS R mirrorless. Thank you for this informative video.

    Great comparison. I have the ST-124 which is also a really nice option. Now looking for a good head to add :-)

      Thank you! That is a great option between the 7C and ST-224. I would still recommend ST-20.

    So you would not use the 7C with a longer lens like a 70-200 or even 100-400? Is that still true if you attach the tripod directly to the lens? I am just looking for a travel alternative for my Manfrotto 055 ProB, which weighs 3.5 kilos.
    Thanks that you mentioned that the 7C can also be folded the conventional way that does not require turning all legs by 180 degrees and extending the middle column. That is not even clear from the Sirui website.

      I can't say yes or no. 7C will work, but if you want a tripod primarily for 70-200 or 100-400, I would go with something in ST-224 class.

    what about the St-124? i need a tripod for mirrorless Fujifilm Xt-30. I bought a Benro Mach3 tma37 and its way to bulky and heavy, weights over 3kg. When i mount my novoflex magic ball head and hte Fuji XT-30 it gets heavy to lift everyhting with one arm to adjust the arms. Also because the tubes are so thick and the span size of the legs its just not nice to use at my desk as well. I dont travel with it but even at home i want something lighter and thinner for my desk. The Benro TMA28C or TMA18C or Sirui ST-224 or ST-124. I think ST-224 ist to much for mirrorless, to thick and not so handy.

      I have the st-124. It is a great quality piece of kit. It is light but steady as you want. Personally i love it. The st-224 is basically the same. Just a upgrade on the set up. I love my ST 124. The heaviest set up i have is my D610 + 16 35mm. No problem.

    Is the Traveler 7C good for big lenses like 300mm?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  ปีที่แล้ว

      It will work, but ST-224 will offer much better stability with long telephoto lenses.

    I just got the C5 tripod but can't seem to lower the central column. Is this possible? If so, how?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, that is not possible on the 5C.

      @@TheHybridShooter Thanks. I think I'll send it back. I think it's an important feature. Do you know of a good tripod with a similar weight and price that has that feature?

      No, I’m not aware of any alternative.

      @MarkusGebhard ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vivshein1602 you can remove the centre column altogether. You just need turn the column anticlockwise. The flange on top of of the column can be unscrewed and mounted on the base of the tripod.
      This review here doesn't do the tripod justice. Recommending it for only phones and action sport cams is a joke

    2:55 - This is rather bad decision - those collars prevents tripod to dig into the ground. Fallen leaves or dense grass - only screw-in spikes works.

    • @TheHybridShooter

      I disagree, I have tried it in various situations and it works completely fine.

      @@TheHybridShooter you have tried just for review, not for real landscape photography. I had the same tripod from SLIK (CF814) wich failed to stand still in the mountains on the grass on the windy day. I absolutly strongly advice to select only tripods with screw-in spikes for landscape photography. For everyone who use it "outdoor".

      @SuperSuperka lol, how can you know how I tried it. I have been using that tripod for more than a year in all kinds of conditions. I wasn't able to find that tripod, but I highly doubt that it is the same.

      @@SuperSuperka Your assumptions are a bit funny. There is no way that you can know how and where have I tested this tripod. As far as I know, you have a different tripod from different manufacturer.
