Wish you would have shown a bit of the book
You can see some pretty good previews here of it, on amazon: www.amazon.com/Lessons-Masterful-Portrait-Drawing-Classical/dp/1440349762?crid=CXYUTE9ALRFV&dchild=1&keywords=lessons+in+masterful+portrait+drawing&qid=1631638272&sprefix=lessons+in+master,aps,231&sr=8-2&linkCode=sl1&tag=aspandach-20&linkId=097d4458f8d18c096c56898c44a83f77&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl&asin=1440349762&revisionId=&format=4&depth=1
Indeed it is an amazing book and his works to look at, so much motivation and source for ideas how to work.
Thank you, this was a great video!
Thank you, I will definitely check out this book!
Thank you.
Just got mine today 😊
I couldn't find your watercolor lessons on TH-cam. I just follow you and I don't like to get different art lessons. Could you please tell me how I can get your watercolor lessons? Thank you so much💚🙏
Thank you for this tutorial. I’ll look into both skillshare and the book.
Thanks Deborah, hope it goes well :)
Thank you for this :D
No problem :)
I love your videos thank you do you paint mainly in watercolour or oils now?
Only watercolor now
@@SchaeferArt that's great!
My issue is drawing my references from my iPhone into a paper. I get the proportions completely off
That is what everyone gets wrong
Check out the techniques of Dorian Iten
Im watching your drawing tutorial from 7 years ago
600k soon🔥
Doesn't really matter when I get so low views
😄
@@SchaeferArt Its become increasingly difficult to standout when so many artists are vlogging now - and all doing the same format - voiceovers of a pre-recorded art sessions or a twitch style livestream. You've been making content for a longtime and have created a lot of different styles of content.
But in my opinion, you are at your best, you standout against the crowd the most - when you are doing daily vlogs especially highlighting your plein air adventures. When you are making that content I thought you'd truly discovered your brand. And as far as the art itself, this was when you were creating your strongest work. It was just more real, more spontaneous, more authentic, and you were highly FOCUSED. You should get back to that style! I understand that life changes... maybe you're no longer finding inspiration there - but honestly it deserves a re-appraisal.
@@nickb863 Thank you for that my friend. To be completely honest, the plein air stuff is really the only thing I enjoy to do nowadays - besides making videos of course. Staying inside painting on livestreams or drawing - I just don't get joy from it at the moment. The plein air adventures and travel is what I truly love. I'm kind of done with this main channel to be honest, and I'm going to put my focus more on the Plein air chanel now and actually another project that I have in the works, which is completely different than all of this stuff. Please sub to the Plein Air Adventures channel if you're not following me there. Thank you so much for your thoughts and encouragement, I really needed it today :) Been working a lot on my mind, my purpose, and what "I" truly want in my life. I feel this SchaeferArt channel over the years hasn't been fully my choices and I've learned a lot from it. Forging a different path soon for me. Thank you for the support. Hope all is well.
@@SchaeferArt I had no idea you had a 2nd channel! Thanks for the info I will definitely sub! I don't want to deflate your motivation to work in a diversity of styles - your pen and ink or traditional graphite work is great. Just personally connect to the plein air work - and think its your signature style! I first got into your work when you were in national parks capturing the natural beauty in oil and water color. Glad this resonated.
Please sir how can I get this book
Here: amzn.to/396ZE4Q
Well obviously I had to have a Kindle version
You are making videos for 10 years it's unbelievable 😬😬
is it for beginners?
I wouldn’t say so particularly but the beginning stages can be done by beginners and learn from it. It’s probably quite good for beginners to learn this way.
