    I have Southmoon, Jubilee, and O'Neal growing in large clay pots here in zone 9. They are several years old now, and prolific bloomers.

    Southmoon, Misty and Sunshine blue have done well for me in Zone9. I have them growing in old JD whiskey barrels that I cut in half and and old wine barrel. They’ve done great in them. As you mentioned, much easier to control the pH. I just did a light pruning the other day, but I have found that pruning right after harvest has done well for me so I had plenty of time for re-growth before Fall/Winter since that’s where the new berries will be.

    Thank you, brother, for another good video. Here in Tn, also zone 7, we can grow a variety of different blueberry hybrids. I have had my 15 bushes so long I can't remember most of the names, but 'Tifblue' was one. One thing I did was to plant early, mid-season, and late flowering varieties to have fruit almost all summer and sometimes into September, and to save the crop from any late frosts. and I will be trying that 'Krewer' in a big pot as soon as I can find the plant.

    Our 2 blueberry bushes do produce, but they've struggled to thrive since planting 4 years ago here in mid-Michigan. They're still only about 30 inches tall and struggling. Our soil is poor, trouble keeping the ph below 6, poor drainage (solid clay below the 8" deep bed). I'd like to move them to containers like you're showing here. Will the plants survive the move, and when would be the best time to do the transplant? Great video! Thanks.

    • @skgreenhouse
      @skgreenhouse  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I believe they'll be just fine. The best time to transplant would be in the fall after they start going dormant or early spring.

I grabbed a couple just because and popped them in my mouth.. and wow! Yum! So my question is... why were they SO different from store bought or restaurant served blueberries? The type? Or just more naturally grown? I ask every year for the kids to go pick some more lol
