I am currently looking for land to move to WV to take my parents back home. These videos have been so inspiring and I hope to travel around learning about the history :)
Glad to see my hometown of Elk Garden made it in the video. Great job and very informative. I love anything that has to do with West Virginia and our local history.
Interesting historical info which I enjoyed watching. I did see 1 flaw. Your spelling of Allegany Ballistics was incorrect as Alleghany. The correct spelling from their web page & signs: Allegany Ballistics.
In 1870 Rotten Ray Ankrum came down from the hills and burned the town to the ground. Then went into the charcoal business and made Millions. Blood will tell, breeding will out
Thanks, Wayne, for another great video. Always enjoy watching you lay out the wonderful history of beautiful West Virginia.
❤WV!

My aunt had cabins and a beer garden in Burlington. And later moved to farm on the road to headsville.

I go up there to watch the Derby every year
I think my most favorite area is WV is Keyer and Romney. The surrounding areas like Moorefield and Petersburg are not that bad.
Burlington wv?
Yes, not to be confused with the almost 30 other places in the united states named Burlington.
Very well done!

New Creek should take over Keyser and just call it all New Creek. No one even knows how to pronounce Keyser.
I do. It's pronounced kai zur.
