🔥 first episode i really hope that the rest of the anime episodes are like the 1st one and not toned down, cause the unique way they animate this with the colors and paint is so different and refreshing.
actually that was the part that annoyed me the most :,D I was feeling like when i am sick and having a feverdream. Anime giving me headaches so i guess 1 episode was enough for me.
This episode actually terrified me when I first watched it. For some people the portrayal of the office work may seemed stupid or funny but for me it's not. I don't know how real office work really works but I know some of the portrayals shown in this episode really happen in real life like overwork with low salary and abusive higher ups. The fact that he was forced to work for 2 days straight without sleep on his first day and the fact that he managed to survive for 3 years with this kind of life not to mention this was his first job shows his mental fortitude. Can't blame the man for wanting to live in a zombie apocalyptic world than to go back to his hellish workplace.
I don't expect the ending is going to be unexpectedly sad. All of those zombie scenarios are just tendo imagination cause he was diagnosed with mental health disorders due to lack of sleep, rest and so much stress going in his life.
oh yeah for the people that read this comment i will just say, what this guy said is just a theory, the manga is still on going and we have no way of saying how it is going to end

I just caught up with the manga, but if I have to rate it, I will give it a 3/10, but don't get me wrong. The anime/manga is good, like hella good, but Idk why the anime/manga industry rarely produces zombie-plot anime. Like a very serious one without goofiness. I know that High School of the Dead adds an echi aspect to it, but, to be honest, the chills that it gives are extra ordinary. It is just heartbreaking that the author died, so we will never have a second season for this tragedy. I am just one of those people who craves this genre. Also, if you like the zombie genre, I highly recommend Gakkō Gurashi! other than the High School of the Dead.

I kinda thought of that too while reading the Manga but some of the characters have real fleshed out backstories so I think that's not the case.
