Thanks for the video Nick, I know the work that goes into them. I was particularly interested in the "how it works" section as often this is left out. I'll need to look at that section a few times but that's the beauty of TH-cam, you can watch again. I'll follow the project all the way through but will master more simple projects first. Best 73.👍😃😄
made my own pcb design of the TIA and the one going dual direction is only 28mm x 27mm using 0805 SMD components and 2N3904's as THT. build my own crystal filter using 3x 16MHz crystals and about 100pF, may need to go a bit up in capacitance for the 2.5kHz bw.
Congratulations! I had some fun creating my own TIA pcb - it's not as small as yours though! Well done on the Crystal filter too. Did you find that 3 crystals was enough to give you the cutoff you wanted? I've usually settled for 6 in a Cohn design but I have gone as low as 4 once. It's all good fun! Keep up the good work. 73, Nick
Hi! No the PCB is just my own design of Wes & Bob's famous circuit. I will cover it in a future video as there are some different options available now for those who want to go down the PCB route. Stay tuned! Thanks very much. 73, Nick

That's what I'm planning on trying Ed. It should be enough as even the second harmonic on 15m will be around 42 MHz so well outside my 10m LPF. Why build 2 filters when one will suffice? Thanks for watching. 73 Nick.
