    • @SLS4All
      @SLS4All  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, we use the thermo camera module with the resolution of 32x24 measuring points. Here is the exact type: Waveshare MLX90640. We are using our own software solution for the the printer control.

  • @JemicoTX
    @JemicoTX ปีที่แล้ว

    3:40. Wow. I had no idea there was a required preheat delay for SLS. 75 minutes, how does this compare to commercially available SLS machines today? 10:13 - How long is the cool down process? Thank you for this project and your videos!

    • @SLS4All
      @SLS4All  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot for your interest. To my knowledge, preheat times of commercial benchtop SLS printers varies somewhere between 1 and 2 hours.
      Cooling times are much longer. They depend on the different parameters and take several hours.

    Lovely build, wanted to ask if you are worried about exposure to nylon dust or it's environmental impact, as in you will try to reduce both of these in future iterations. Your other comment said that the build cost you about 3k$, please try to make a company. I believe that there is a huge market for affordable sls printing. I would love to have an option of buying an sls printer for about 2.5 to 4 k $

    • @SLS4All
      @SLS4All  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you very much for your interest in my project. No, I'm not worried about nylon exposure. The reason is that it is not carcinogenic, just an irritant unless you handle it carefully and use a protective mask. I did have problems with the bed seals, but that's been resolved - I'll test it in the new version.
      As more people asked me about the kit I decided to work on that. If all goes OK, it will be ready in a few months.

    Your surface temp is fluctuating A LOT (I don;t know if its measurement fluctuation or real temp. one). I found that even 0.5C fluctuation can cause prints to look awful. At least on my Sinterit Lisa Pro. BTW: could you please share which PA12 powder you'e using?

    • @SLS4All

      You're right. That's why I completely changed the halogen heating head and control algorithm. It works quite well now. I used some cheap powder from Alibaba, but the link doesn't work anymore unfortunately. I also use Fromlabs PA12 powder for my tests.
