- Bad Bad Leroy Brown was released in 1973 and spent two weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Billboard ranked it as the No. 2 song for 1973. Apparently, this song is about a person that Jim Croce met in the Army at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
@songlyricsrock
They dont make music like this anymore. Outstanding
They can't 70s 80s was the highest level of music and it will never be like that in my lifetime
@@ozymandias4988 You are 100% correct. 50's, 60's was best music ever too. Music today is garbage rap crap.
@@maximusvonce1381I mean, Vanilla Ice, Ice Cube, Murs, and Ultramagnetic MCs are still making todays songs and theyre pretty lit. Theyre like the only rappers worth listening to.
Great old song. They don't make songs like this anymore..
According to Croce, the real Bad Bad Leroy Brown decided one day he was tired of Army life, went AWOL for several weeks, then stupidly came back at the end of the month to collect his paycheck. At which point, he was promptly arrested by the MPs, LOL.
Because he was bad !!! 😅
What are you talking about
Yes I heard that story. Jim was on a talk show. I think it was the Merv Griffen show. He talked about the inspiration for the character of this song.
"Then stupidity came back at the end of the month to collect his paycheck" man, I wish telling stories like this wasn't dying off like it was. You just don't hear that anymore
😂😂😂 😂😂😂
One of the best ballads ever written.
Wow haven't heard that is years. An oldy that never get old for me . thanks for the upload.
You're welcome...thanks for viewing.
Great old tune,with a jazzy beat!😎
Now this is music, wish we could go back to this, artist today don't have a clue, I'm not dissing r&b, because we got some wonderful artists but the rap game, I'm lost

It's very clear photo to describe this song lol
I came here from friends
@@songlyricsrock yeah they are friends , the tv serie lol they are the best friends i ve ever have hahahhaha bless u dude 😊
Is it just me or does the intro sound like the intro to Stuck On You by Elvis Presley?
I'm not worried bout Leroy Brown, lol. I'm bigger than he is,😂🤣
"Bad, bad Bubba Ray Brown, the baddest man in the whole damn town"👌
@@songlyricsrock 🤣😂
I’m Leroy
@@ladozerwork1679 lol. I'm still bigger. At 6 ft 7 in, and 305 lbs, but not sure if I am as mean,😂
@John Chorny I agree and also it depends on what the man knows. A 5 foot 90 pound man could kill me with one blow with his bare hands if he knows martial arts and such. That's why I never pick a fight and never underestimate anyone. I only try to protect myself if need be. Fighting is definitely a last resort.
Don't mess with Tyrone Williams
I'm known for being an extremely dangerous person, but even I know not to mess with married women. You can learn this in any MMA Gym. The people trying to hurt or you are having fun. When someone really wants to hurt you, the situation suddenly turns into a 911 call.
i,m bad jim.tom
That”s my grandaddy
Yes, pleeze
I hv. A neighbor named Leroy he's Cool 🆒😎😎😎
2:50 Well, if that is what the legendary Leroy Brown is supposed to look like, then even by todays standards i guess he would be kinda intimidating. I mean, just LOOK at him!!! 6 foot, 4!!? I would need a gang of bikers at my side just to approach the dude!!
Justin Beiber calls Puff daddy his lollipop. You people are sick.
Who thinks this song is racist? Just curious cause someone told me they don’t play this song anymore cause it might be offensive. I am baffled that it is racist.
Sonny and Char show did it best.
No such thing as time.
Thanks for interrupting the song with your asinine commercial
You can thank TH-cam. This channel is not monetized so I cannot place ads in the video.
@@songlyricsrock Yes I meant you tube-thanks
