My friend I took a overloaded truck on this route this year early Jan/Feb month with a very fragile cargo when road was in much pathetic condition at Shiradi. The thrill and excitement of being a heavy driver for the first time in my life was just too much and I did not feel like it was a struggle. I took this job quitting IT and giving myself a break. But in 1.5 months I quit as a driver due to almost no support ( any kind of be it personal hygeine or food ) and almost no pay at all. I tasted first hand what drivers go through in our country. Life is worst as a driver. Labour workers get paid more than a driver.

All the politicians should be tied up inside a Karnataka Sarige and be forced to travel this route up and down non-stop till the roads are permanently fixed

Ideal Durgamba Sugama nishmitha Canara pinto vishal these guys are giving quality services over 25 years if am not wrong .. there was one more called CPC they had beautiful AGCL buses back then miss those days
One time famous cpc mangalore to Mumbai route. Ghatge patil syndicate, bharat, Lobo, manish ,ballal, ideal, canara, once they were most popular in this routes
CPC was pioneer in offering serivices. I still remember vividly in 93 that I was mesmerised seeing ACGL CPC, design of which was unique that point in time.. But they faded into history.

The road leading to Mangalore, in particular the Sakleshpur Road, is deteriorating day by day, and several buses travel it day and night without raising any concerns. 9 hours of travel on this route is like a nightmare when the government comes with their so-called talent to fix this road as the roads have been the same for ten years... After years of waiting, they finally received an answer to the perennial question of when the trains to Mangalore and Bangalore will begin running. When we discover that the roads have been restored, we shall have smooth travel rather than winding ones...
Why are the roads so horribly bad in Karnataka? Looks as bad as in Maharashtra. Maybe, it's good in pockets closer to Bengaluru. Having seen this video, i would dread travelling by car on this route even during day time and night? OMG!
Yeah not safe by car. The roads have deteriorated over time without much attention given to it. Yellapur was in same state earlier but tht has been worked on.

Traffic can go through Charmady ghat while Shiradi Ghat is closed for renovation.
@@Guest-sk4rh Heavy vehicles are not allowed in Charmady, especially the longer ones like Volvo buses and Trucks. The curves are too sharp.
