While watching The Devil All the Time, I immediately envisioned him and Alycia in an edit. I hadn’t seen the movie (A Violent Separation) she was in before watching TDATT, but I still thought they’d pair well, and I think it’s safe to say they did. Not gonna lie, I didn’t really enjoy AVS but do recommend checking out TDATT if you haven’t already!

✘SYNOPSIS: No one expects small towns to hold such grand secrets and darkness. But that’s what’s happening in rural Virginia, in the late 1960s. Frances and Arvin have been close friends since they were children. This tight-knit friendship becomes loose when he joined World War 2 and came back quieter, distant. Since he’s been gone, Frances also loses a close connection with her sister, Abby, who’s been wrapped up with an older, strange man who likes to take pictures of random people. One day he’s picked up on the road by Abby and her boyfriend. What he thinks is a simple act of kindness takes a turn for the worst… Abby’s sister is found dead, leaving Frances wrecked, and Arvin strangely tense. Over time, Frances and Arvin become close again. Just as she’s falling in love with the quiet boy, Frances figures out that he was the man who killed her sister and the photographer boyfriend. She’s angry at first. And she should hate him forever, break up with him, but she can’t because she loves him more than she despises him for what he’s done.
