    When I saw the title in my feed I immediately thought Jim was going to be doing a Kossoff tribute. Did not expect this.

      @@jegauss 🤣 JIM that comment was a bot. Seriously there are A.I Bots that reply here on YT. You will see comments that are so over the top, have no video posted and no info. Those are not just some smart ass trolling. Those are added through the A.I .🤖 They are all over various vid's here on YT and other social media.

    Lol! That's awesome, Jim! I thank God daily that nobody filmed our band at practice or a gig.
    We looked ridiculous in our 80's fashion choices. 😄

    That was great Jim! 👏👏👏Very catchy hook! Found myself singing the chorus after a while! Also definitely the same vibe as Satriani’s Summer Song MTV!

      Thanks Robert! I believe our tongues were firmly planted in our cheeks for this one, but I can't say it wasn't fun...there's a bunch of footage that never got used, and the Badger hockey organization treated us like stars.

    Jim, do you know where I can buy "authentic" black backs like yours with original cones? I would be interested in four of them. Thanks

    • @jegauss
      @jegauss  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to say - you'd probably need to buy a mid-70s Marshall 4x12. I would reach out to Greg Ginter at Guitar Shop of Wisconsin (they're in Madison). He's got quite a collection of vintage Marshall stuff.

    This is fantastic! Are there any more videos like this of younger you?

    • @jegauss
      @jegauss  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yes, probably - there were some professional shot videos (this one was done by the local news network), but I haven't been able to track those down. I've got a lot of photos, but not much video - video cameras were big and bulky back then, so it just wasn't something that was done on a regular basis - certainly not like what it's become with cellphone video...

    The guitar harmonics jump off your fretboard- what was your amplifier back then?

    • @jegauss
      @jegauss  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Donald, I was either using one of my old Marshalls with a crude dummy load, or I may have had the Peavey 5150 - they sounded / played pretty much the same, but I always preferred the Marshall. Sorry, I don't remember what I had in the studio that day...

      It's a great guitar! It was actually built for me, but it has some very strong ties to the original EB prototypes - part of the story is that the maple top on mine came from the same batch of tops from one of the "famous" ones, for what would eventually become Ed's signature guitar. I still own it....
