    My partner and I will be doing our thesis about policy analysis. We're planning to do document analysis other than IPA then we can do triangulation

      I'm doing a Discourse Analysis of documents as well. I'm doing IDA which combines IPA and DHA. I wish there was more information on similarstudies.

    Sir, I am starting my thesis and it is about entrepreneurship in fashion industry: Gucci as a case study. I searched and understood how to conduct every section of qualitative research but I am still so confused on how to gather my data? So I will base only on books and papers to read about history of the brand and deduct answers to my research questions. But how to collect data from those documents? Do I take quotes that I see suitable and later on categorize them into codes then themes?

      Great question, thanks for asking it serenayben9660! Yes, you will need to take word-for-word from the documents much as you would use verbatim transcriptions from interviews. Sounds like a great research project. If I can help, let me know how! Dr. Rich

    How much documents are minimum requirement for doing document analysis.,

    • @DrRich
      @DrRich  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      How many documents depends on the scope of the study. In some instance 3 are enough and in other instances, 10 would not be enough.

    Dr how bout info from website eg government website?is it consider document analysis under electronics sources? for example crime rates produce by the Police force department?

    • @DrRich

      Sure, most 'different' types of documents can be used as long as they are relevant. A document review does not have to be supported by scholarly sources as one might do in an academic research thesis or dissertation. Thanks for the great question! 👍

I have a video on those at th-cam.com/video/H-5zQcFqTec/w-d-xo.html and how to reduce down, seek common themes much like creating categories and sub-categories.
